Ivy League will meet Monday I believe to see if they will play football in the spring. If this happens it may cause other conferences to follow suit.
If feel we are not at 50/50 to play the season but 30/70.

Would rather just cancel outright than play in the Spring. Seriously, what will be different in February? So many issues with that. Am reaching the point where I don't care about these sports. Happy to end it all on the Tigers' championship.

Who makes these decisions? If it's the ADs, then I feel like the SEC is safe. If it's the school President/Admin then you can basically bet on no football in the Fall.

There's not going to be a season. Just prepare yourself already.
We had a real chance to beat this - like almost every other country in the world - and fricked it up royally

Ivy League schools don’t participate in the FCS playoffs and are overrun with SJWs. I’m weary about the season too but I don’t think the Ivy League’s decision will impact P5 schools.

Bama will be crowned SEC Champs if we don’t play a single game. Might be an asterisk, but they will have a new trophy in their Football Operations building.

Even if they start, it will be chaotic with many disruptions. Just can't see it.

Quarantine ourselves indefinitely so the virus lingers does nothing but linger around, and then it spread like wildfire mid season?

I know you have an agenda, but this talking point is just not true. Even many on your own team (nate silver, etc) are warning against this mindset.
The parts of the country seeing a "surge" are areas that never really were hit hard in april and may. CA, tx, fl, az, etc
Read this
quote:
What happened is that some parts of America, mostly the New York City area and Detroit, had horrific outbreaks in March, and they are now tapering off. Today, a few other parts that had mostly avoided the virus — Florida, Texas, and Arizona — are finally seeing an increase in cases.
If you layer the regions on top of one another, it looks like a second wave. But if you separate them out, it looks like different places are getting hit at different times.

quote:
So, when you look more closely, what appeared to be two waves in the same country is more accurately described as differently timed waves in different regions.
The part of the country that that was hit same time as europe- NY, NJ, CT, RI, PA- is following a curve identical to france and spain and italy.
It is to be expected that you will see an uptick after a reopening. What matters is hospital capacity and nursing home/elderly protection.

Oh, we're going to beat it to the same extent as most everyone else. By the Fall, deaths will probably be way, way down. But people are so squeamish at this point that no risk of any kind can be taken when it comes to this "deadly" virus that kills less than .25% of people it infects.

It’s pretty much a given no fall season.
I wonder what happens to ooc games. Do all the contracts get pushed back a year? I hope so. I really want to play in Baton Rouge. Look at my name. I’ve been waiting 20 years for this.

I agree. Just cannot see the season happening with where things stand at this point

What we need to do is live like hermits and take away everything good so that we can prevent dying from coronavirus because apparently if we survive COVID we will live forever.

Dude, there very well may not be football, but I can guarantee you that it won't be because the SEC follows the frickin Ivy league's decision.

Nobody in the power 5 cares what the Ivy League does... doesn’t mean we play in fall but their decision process has nothing to do with ours
