The group, 43 Alumni for Biden, has recruited at least 200 former White House officials, campaign aides and Cabinet secretaries who worked under Bush to join the push against the Republican incumbent.

They’re planning to roll out supportive testimonial videos featuring high-profile Republicans and launch a voter turnout effort in key states, aimed at turning out disaffected Republican voters. News of the group was first reported by Reuters.

The group has been in touch with the Biden campaign and other GOP groups opposed to Trump to coordinate some of its activities going forward, and it's alerted Bush's office of their activities, though it remains unaffiliated with the former president directly.

So, in essence, every day that passes proves that 45 has been right about "The Swamp(tm)" since jump street.

Dems never, ever do this to one of their own.

Those supposed Republicans are bought and paid for. I don't give a shite what they think. Nobody that respectfully carries an R next to their name can look at Minneapolis, Seattle, and NYC and think Biden is the answer going forward.

I'm trying to understand what their target audience is with this. The Republicans that these efforts are geared towards reside primarily in deep blue states.

This will not do anything where it matters---absolutely no one anywhere outside of K Street thinks "Yes! I absolutely love Bush-era Republicans! Their input is exactly what this country needs!!"

NeverTrumpers are the most useless and despicable politicians imaginable

Who the frick appointed them the guardians of conservativeness? And when exactly did globalism and bending over to Democrats become conservative?

None of these people are conservatives.

And this move to do this under the banner of the Republican party is pretty disgusting.

Just switch parties and be done with it. Uniparty indeed.

This is likely an effort to save the ship but let the captain drown... and at least hold the senate. Not akin to a full mutiny IMO.

We'll see where these testimonials pop up.

I get not liking Trump. I refused to vote last go round because I thought both candidates sucked. However, I really don’t see how you can look at what’s going on in this country and think Biden is the way to go. He’s spineless. I still don’t like Trump as a human being, I think he’s a narcissist and an a-hole, but the Democratic Party is taking a very, very dangerous dive into the abyss AND they are likely to win both Houses. Someone needs to stand in the way of their agenda, even if it’s to accomplish nothing more than to veto the shite out of the stupid crap that’s going to come to the President’s desk for 4 years.
