Did it involve a shithead kid abusing his german shepard that should've bit his face off instead?

Thanks for sharing.
This is the kind of videos that need to go viral.

I would never adopt a kid that wasn't mine, even if he/she were a great kid. If mom decided to bounce a year later, you'd still be on the hook for child support, even if she went back to the child's biological father.

And as they embraced, the stepdad whispered in his son's ear, "always remember young blood...I banged your mom."

I saw that video. The kid should be shot dead without a trial.

I never would out of principle.

I've got 3 kids of my own and 3 step-kids. Good kids. Even if their father weren't around, I'd still love them and raise them, but I wouldn't expose myself to that kind of financial risk.

Her mom split, and tried to take her, when daughter was about 8. I fought, and I won. Mom was ordered to pay ME child support. She never paid it. I remarried, and we terminated bio-mom's rights and my wife adopted my daughter too.
Hear that? I fought, and I won, in a STATE THAT STRONGLY FAVORS THE MOTHER IN CONTESTED CUSTODIAL CASES.
GTFOH with that bullshite. Kids need parent(s). If that's not you, then don't adopt. But don't lump the rest of everyone in that group.
Sorry to rant but that pisses me off.

The adult male in the room filming it should be shot dead without a trial.

I never suggested that they didn't; however, you can be a good parent without making it formal through the legal system. For every story like yours, there are probably hundreds that didn't work out that way and the dude got screwed.

YOU are part of the PROBLEM. Please rethink your position in life and of those around you!

You can. I'm not disputing that.
What I'm saying, is that I got tired of seeing my daughter have no parental continuity. I legally adopted to avoid the possibility of her mom running off and taking her away from me. Let's just say bio-mom had a history of instability, and I could predict what was going to happen, so I was proactive and had my defense (offense) planned out long before the situation played out.
I've lost a lot in my life, like many people. But I was not about to lose the very first child that ever called me "daddy" without a written order and a law enforcement official physically ripping her from my arms.
That's why I adopted. To give my daughter stability. If I hadn't done so, my daughter would have already been dragged through 11 boyfriends and 12 school districts in the last 7 years...
...and instead, she's entering her junior year having attended the same city schools since kindergarten.

Your situation is definitely not the norm. What this tells me is that you knew the mother was such a POS that you'd probably get the kid. If she were an otherwise decent person, you likely wouldn't have got that deal. Still, kudos to you for doing the right thing in your unique situation.

That is a wonderful video.
One man made a difference in a boys life and generations will be better because of it.

Great job Dad. Parenting is 50% love and 50% sacrifice. You did them both and she will eventually look to find a husband as good as you one day.

Bless you my friend.
