Counting repeat testing drives up the percent positive. The likelihood of getting a positive test in someone who already tested positive is very high.
With some workplaces requiring negative tests before someone can return to work I would be willing to be there are a lot of repeats. This falsely drives cases and positive rate up.

I wish all the trashy rural Louisiana residents who were screaming leave the state alone and just close New Orleans would come back now that NOLA is fine and its all rural area. Can we close just Lake Charles and Shreveport please, leave NOLA alone.

It was explained that once you test positive your additional tests do not count positive or negative.

highly doubt they can weed out duplicate test for the same individuals.

They cleaned out all 1600 duplicates already

If only there were unique identification numbers that were trackable.

And we would assign it in the name of security for the good of all society.

The LDH region four Dr. has issued a statement saying that this is not the recommendation anymore. The CDC evidently has made it a time sensitive deal as opposed to getting retested. I posted a link somewhere earlier in this thread I think.
“Dr. Stefanski put that out -- it's a time related thing now.
From Facebook:
Current recommendation is a “time-based strategy”. Patients who test positive for CV-19 can be removed from isolation 10 as long as they have been symptom-free for 72 hours**.
If going to work in a congregate setting (example - nursing home), we extend that to 14 days.”
Here is the link to the CDC reference:

Just like only if there was a way to weed out all the hospitalizations that have 0 to do with covid but are there instead to pad the number and strike fear.…..Sorry I wont be giving a corrupt government any benefit of the doubt.

An increase in caseload is inevitable, whether we prolong that final number or not is irrelevant. Originally, the experts recommended we "flatten the curve" to not overwhelm our healthcare systems to the point that there are more deaths due to improper treatment.

Who explained that? When?

Thanks for posting this every day.
A while back someone asked you about getting access to your Excel spreadsheet so they could play around with some graphs. I don't know which day that was and can't find that exact thread. You provided them directions on how to copy/paste the picture in the tread into Word (I think it was Word anyway) and then get it converted to a spreadsheet. Can you provide those directions again? Thanks.
