Anyways, one day I was checking cameras and was in a big field in the middle of the property surrounded by hills and bluffs. I stopped the four wheeler and was sitting there out in the open. Then I heard/felt a bullet buzz by/near me.
Inner city ghettos are safer than rural areas.
Hillbillies don't give a frick.

One night we were camping and I guess I got scared or something because I left the kids tent and went over to my parents tent. As soon as I unzipped the door my dad came flying out of my moms sleeping bag with something in his hand that I couldn't see and goes running out of the tent. Turns out there was a snake in the her sleeping bag and who knows what would have happened if he hadn't managed to pull it out in time. Still freaks me out to this day.

I’ve told this before. I had a Mountain Lion sneak up behind the tree I was sitting against and let off a guttural scream . It was so close I could hear it make a growling, purr , pissed off sound between roars . I’m 62 and when I think about it I immediately get chills . It didn’t sound like a woman to me . It sounded like Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww as loud as you could scream it . When you’re supposed to be the only one around and that happens, scares the crap out of you!

Would this happen to be the field around Lake Fausse Point near Loreauville in Iberia Parish?

I’m pretty sure most of, if not all of the stories on /nosleep are fictional
Yeah, when you first start reading those Forest Service accounts in the link it's pretty entertaining, then the further you go it's pretty unbelievable for one guy to have all of those encounters.
You could really tell it was fictional when he started talking about the random flights of stairs that no one would acknowledge.

I remember being at summer Christian camp growing up. There was a story the counselors told every year about an escaped patient from the psych ward down the road
Was this the Judson Baptist Retreat in Jackson, La? I used to go to Camp there in the late 80's and early 90's. We had a similar story told about East Louisiana State Mental Hospital right down the road. My Grandparents started working there at the age of 15 & 16 and retired from there in the 80's. They had some crazy arse stories about that place.

Is the graveyard on Perkins Rd Between Ed Freeman/Ash Rd and Homer Rd, kinda by Kevin Windhams place? If so, our hunting property surrounds the graveyard. They have some really old graves from the 1800's there for sure.
I found an old WWII mortar there years ago. That area used to be used as training grounds for Mortar firing.
To be honest with you man, I'm not very familiar with that area so I couldn't tell you. It's in Norwood, Louisiana.

You may know my girlfriend's family. They own a house and hunt on that land as well.

What's the last name?
Posted on 6/30/20 at 3:08 pm to whitetiger1234
Went hunting in east Georgia and stayed the night in a hunting cabin built by run-away slaves in the 1800's who practiced black magic. Had my first experience with sleep paralysis there, not fun.

I get kinda creeped out every time I get out of tree stand in the pitch black. Was hunting a food plot one afternoon that got overtaken by a bunch of wild hogs. They were still there when I climbed out of the tree stand and I was pretty nervous one might charge me and I wouldn't see it. You can sometimes hear some pretty startling animal noises at dusk out in the woods.

Probably not true but these stories will make your hair stand up. Its all about weird stuff that supposedly happened in the woods when searching for people. It fits in with some of the stores others have posted.

These stories are damn addicting.
Any of y'all ever stumbled upon random staircases in the middle of the wilderness?

No, but I've found the remains of a Corvette and an 1800s house deep in a large wooded enclave surrounded by suburbia. I'd say exactly where but I want to hit the area up with a metal detector one day.
