I have friends that live there, ground zero CHAZ. There is no violence, no lawlessness, everyone is just going about their business, some protesting, some not. Businesses aren't suffering, everything is operating normally, except there are just no police. There is no warlord, it's not some massive antifa shite, businesses are not being extorted. The police left, and shite got peaceful. That's what happened and is happening.
There are no "armed guards", ID checks, or any of that shite. People come and go as they please, including cops. They still patrol, they just abandoned the precinct and stopped fighting the protesters.
Nobody is trying to make it its own country. Nobody is in charge, there is no organized group trying to set up government or anything. All that happened is a precinct was abandoned (temporarily), and certain news outlets are trying to make it look like the world is ending. They are editing photos. They are clipping videos together from other shite. They are inventing stories about warlords. They are putting together fake interviews like the one here in the OP.
People aren't begging for food. All goods are available and all services are operational. People are selling food or giving it away in the streets. It hasn't descended into third world status. People pay their bills, and the lights stay on. People go to work and get paid.
Talk to someone who lives there. Make an effort to find the truth. A friend of mine who I've known for 25 years lives there, and he is fricking mindblown by what is being portrayed in some media. It's just absurd.

Did anyone else read this? The allegations are pretty eye opening as to how CHAZ/chop/etc. continued getting materials and the city’s participation in the zoo.

This is shocking!! Why would they do this? Mayor Jenny assured us there were no problems and even seemed to think it may be a “Summer Of Love”.
I’m no authority on the original Summer Of Love but I don’t recall hearing about the Haight-Ashbury businesses that filed a class action against the city. Can anyone advise me on how that turned out and whether they were successful?
I remember that twisted fantasy. Korkstand, the runaway leader in the clubhouse for “Biggest Egg On Face” post of the year.

Korkstand’s a fool. There’s no debating that. My problem with the suit is that it’s against the city, which means the taxpayers have to cover it. I would prefer that the suit be personally against the mayor and city councilmen that allowed it.

A majority of them if not all of them voted for the miscreant communists in public office that enabled CHAZ and did nothing to stop them until it got absurdly out of control and people were actually dying.
