I was assured by korkstand that it was a loving zone and nobody had a problem

You guys really believe this shite?

I have friends that live there, ground zero CHAZ. There is no violence, no lawlessness, everyone is just going about their business, some protesting, some not. Businesses aren't suffering, everything is operating normally, except there are just no police. There is no warlord, it's not some massive antifa shite, businesses are not being extorted. The police left, and shite got peaceful. That's what happened and is happening.

There are no "armed guards", ID checks, or any of that shite. People come and go as they please, including cops. They still patrol, they just abandoned the precinct and stopped fighting the protesters.

Nobody is trying to make it its own country. Nobody is in charge, there is no organized group trying to set up government or anything. All that happened is a precinct was abandoned (temporarily), and certain news outlets are trying to make it look like the world is ending. They are editing photos. They are clipping videos together from other shite. They are inventing stories about warlords. They are putting together fake interviews like the one here in the OP.

People aren't begging for food. All goods are available and all services are operational. People are selling food or giving it away in the streets. It hasn't descended into third world status. People pay their bills, and the lights stay on. People go to work and get paid.

Talk to someone who lives there. Make an effort to find the truth. A friend of mine who I've known for 25 years lives there, and he is fricking mindblown by what is being portrayed in some media. It's just absurd.

Korkstand is clearly an intelligent guy....but it's also clear he has no clue about collectivism or human nature.

Did anyone else read this? The allegations are pretty eye opening as to how CHAZ/chop/etc. continued getting materials and the city’s participation in the zoo.

Fake news because I was told it was a peaceful finger painting wonderland inside Chaz and that free commerce flowed like water.

They need to bankrupt Kshama Sawant, Jenny Durkan, Dow Constantine, Dan Satterburg, Tammy Morales, Lisa Herbolt and Chris Reykdahl.

FINALLY!!!
now the rest of the businesses in the US need to file law suits against ALL mayors that told cops to stand down while their businesses were being ransacked or burned to the ground.

dude goes on a walk-around in chaz (showing the world how peaceful it is), then the gangbanger/security slaps him up.

This is shocking!! Why would they do this? Mayor Jenny assured us there were no problems and even seemed to think it may be a “Summer Of Love”.

I’m no authority on the original Summer Of Love but I don’t recall hearing about the Haight-Ashbury businesses that filed a class action against the city. Can anyone advise me on how that turned out and whether they were successful?

I remember that twisted fantasy. Korkstand, the runaway leader in the clubhouse for “Biggest Egg On Face” post of the year.

This is complete b.s. you can't sue for a city sanctioned block party.

Korkstand’s a fool. There’s no debating that. My problem with the suit is that it’s against the city, which means the taxpayers have to cover it. I would prefer that the suit be personally against the mayor and city councilmen that allowed it.

Oh my. I'd not revisited that thread. Didn't realize he'd doubled down. Wow!

Ask your bullshitting buddy what already happened to multiple businesses in Capitol Hill and in its neighboring Denny Triangle and the Retail Districts.
Ask him.
I'll be sure to do that.

I guess I just have to take your word for it, eh? Vague claims about unspecified businesses being extorted, yet none of them are filing "formal" reports, the news has to associate unrelated photos with the area to sell the story. Sounds legit!

Yet, here was the narrative:

Despite rumors of extortion and cops making wild claims—and walking them back—the people engaging in capitalism in a cop-free experimental space are having a great time.

A majority of them if not all of them voted for the miscreant communists in public office that enabled CHAZ and did nothing to stop them until it got absurdly out of control and people were actually dying.

Screw them. I have no sympathy for them. They got what they voted for.
