We already have a huge problem in BTR with multiple names on single streets. Sounds like this will just exacerbate that problem

Most of this is due to the roads not being connected originally. For example, Bluebonnet in between Jefferson and Airline was a field 20 years ago.

You seem to be under the impression that there is much logic behind this rash of destruction. It is a statue of a white man who was prominent nearly 100 years. That ALONE makes his statue eligible for destruction

I would love to do a man on the street type segment. Have a list of names, ask these people that are so offended to tell you who on the list offends you and why. How many of these offended folks could actually tell what names they should be offended by and why??

Might as well stay with the same concept and keep it College Drive all the way to River Road

So what statues are coming down?
What streets will be renamed?
What buildings will be renamed?

Nicholson is done for. Let's rename it for Todd Walker since he landed a few homers on it.

What about poor unprivileged blacks who can't get into college? Seems pretty insensitive.

The Confederate flag was removed from the flags of nations that have flown over the state near the Old State Capital and some of the ones that remain are mislabeled. It's actually a good metaphor. Though ruled by many, stupidity sill reigns supreme.

So she has to get approval from Metro Council? Well Freiberg is gone so maybe there is a chance it gets voted down. We gonna see alot more from Gravy with all this, he famous now, will be the head of that commission.

LINK

According to this city parish link a petition has to be signed by the majority of property owners in order to change a street name. Then the planning commission and metro council has to approve it.

I would think most property owners will not want to change their street name.

Broome isn't gonna waste her time with that BS. She's gonna write an EO, bank on it.

Perhaps we should start naming monuments for the people as a whole.

It has worked wonders in other people's republics.
