Seriously, nice work. It's helpful to see how the pieces could potentially fit together.

Why do so many black people send food back at restaurants? I have three different black families that I dine with regularly. Every time we go out with any of them, a meal always gets sent back.

I have read that most Ivy League schools have foundations flush with cash...making the dream of enrolling a real chance.
That is true to an extent. They have a policy called 'need blind' admissions. They determine how much of the $70K price tag you can afford. Problem is, in their opinion, if the family makes around $125K a year, you can afford the entire thing. If the family makes less, they may not charge at all. That is not a high threshold. What sucks about it is that their endowments are so large that they really don't need tuition. The endowments are growing faster than the cost of giving everyone free tuition. Why do they charge tuition? Because they are a bunch of leftists. (Last line is my observation.)
It was recorded in just two months, yet this is a huge record. It's like it was dropped off from another planet. His creativity and musicianship still astounds me.
Sympathy for The Devil - Guns N' Roses (orig by Rolling Stones)
Stormy Monday - Allman Brothers - Live at the Fillmore East (orig by T-Bone Walker)
A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall - Edie Brickell (orig by Bob Dylan)
Make You Feel My Love - Adele (orig by Bob Dylan)
How about this one...
After Midnight (1988) - Eric Clapton (orig was Clapton from 1973). The 1988 version was completely rearranged and modernized. Immensely better.

re: Is it possible that the Beatles are a bit overrated?
Posted by bzss7x on 12/18/16 at 4:08 pm to Pettifogger
I think the Beatles are overrated. Great? Sure. But they happened to be the first mega band. They were not the last. The Stones outlasted them. Bob Dylan was a better writer. Hendrix was a superior musician. But the Beatles had excellent parts rolled into one. My one hesitation about them is the fact that they relied on covering songs to get their start and fame. They had some outstanding songs and set the stage for the truly awesome years of rock music to come. But in the end, I think too many people proclaim them the GOAT without really paying attention to the competition.
In S Shreveport as well. Last time we heard something like that was the explosion at Camp Minden.
Acceptable vehicle for a guy other than a pickup
Posted by bzss7x on 4/17/16 at 8:21 am
What's an acceptable vehicle for a guy other than a pickup? It seems most guys drive a truck - I'm just not a fan. I'm looking for a new vehicle - What makes the cut? SUV? European car?
DISCLAIMER: Of course, I am paying cash because i'm an OT baller and said vehicle would not interfere with my Lamborghini time. Don't worry. /DISCLAIMER

My son and I were at the UNC pregame festivities in 2010. When the team walked by, Shep noticed my son was wearing a number 10 jersey. He immediately made a bee line to us and chatted up my 10 year old son for a few minutes. Great move by him. My son and I have held him in high regard ever since.
Dude, he played an album for Whitesnake. Can it get much better?

I've always been partial to LSU's white pinstriped vests from back in the day...

The way it was designed, I believe, is you play your "rival" - which is a team fairly equal to you. LSU/Fla, Ala/Tenn. Alabama shouldn't complain about that. Then a team plays one strong team and one weak team from the other side. LSU played UGA and Vandy. This makes sense. Alabama played USC and UK. WTF? Meanwhile, Arkansas, (whose "rival" is USC), played Florida and Georgia. Alabama has no room to complain about scheduling, ever.
I can gurantee that the "advisor" is going to put it into some mutual funds that they peddle. You may want to take a look at some that they offer to have a background on them. That is what will be presented to you, I guarantee it.

To me you should learn from what you did. I think it's called wisdom.
Sell the truck if you can at a higher price, take the $8000 and buy another used vehicle. Then you could either buy it out right or finance a lower amount. In the end a $10000 debt could become a $2000 - $4000 debt.

c'mon saints fans - it only takes a minute to vote!
PA school is ridiculously competitive to get into. The school has a ton of applicants for a few positions. Only about 30-40 are taken a year. Just thought I'd throw that out there - I know a few PAs and they like to joke about how everyone thinks they can get into PA school easily. Not the case.
I wonder if the students were stuck in those endzone bleachers?

Plus, I can't imagine that the people that are manufacturing the new cars are in great moods...I am guessing corners are getting cut, quality is suffering, etc.
One reason quality may not slip is that the line speed at these plants are probably as slow as possible. The workers probably now have 2 minutes to mount the screws of the "OH @^#%" handles.
Over 25% of US 2008 foreclosures occurred in 8 counties.

Per USA Today:
USA Today Article
Also, in more than 650 other counties — about a fifth of the nation — the number of foreclosure actions actually dropped since 2006.
Hmmm.

re: Job Questions

Responsibilities AND accomplishments. Make most recent and longest job stay most prominent. And for the love of all things holy, make the resume ONE page. Unless you have 25 years experience, one page.
My technical writing prof at LSU stressed the one page thing (along with eliminating white space). Now that I've hired 30+ people over the years, I completely with this. My 2 cents.

Shreveport will take that extra $2 Billion, thank you. They have requested $2.3 Billion, far and away the most in the state. It's 4 times more than Houston requested and Shreveport is 5% the size of Houston.
