How has any of this actually affected you? Life is still good.

The internet is not real life so if you look at how any of this has actually impacted you it's minimal.
One time there was a BLM rally at a parking lot that was on my drive home so I had to take a different route. Added about 10 minutes to my commute.
So basically the only real impact on my life any of this has had was 10 minutes of extra driving.
Enjoy your weekend and stay offline!

I work for a large company so the virtue signaling has been at a fever pitch the last few weeks with one manager trying to out duel the others in their wokeness.
I had hoped I was around smarter people than I am.

I've been telling a lot of people around me this. Very rarely does politics have any real effect on your life. Nor do a lot of these social movements. There ARE people affected though but the majority of us aren't.
To me, the scariest thing was how local and state government acted during covid. The shutdowns have a very real and lasting impact on us, both in the macro and micro sense

How has it affected me? One of my friends (ex-cop and a good man) lost his job for voicing his support for law enforcement on Facebook. All he posted was "I stand with police" along with the blue flag. He was the breadwinner of his household with a twelve and nine year old. We live in a fairly red area. Life seems to be normal here and one would think safe from the mob. But nope. How or why he was targeted is anyone's guess. So I and many others donated to a fund to help him financially. Selfish? No. Because he shouldn't have been in this position to begin with. This hits too close to home and if you think it can't happen to you, think again. If you think it's not going to get worse, think again. You're safe now, but enjoy it while you can. At the rate society is collapsing, it's only a matter of time until it does affect you.

That sucks. It seems to me the less minorities people work / live around the harder they virtue signal. My white friends from upscale suburbs and gentrified downtowns are out of control but I'm in the military that has all walks of life and everyone pretty much just wants to get on with life. Green weenie is an equal opportunist so nothing to protest about there.

Between the virus and the BLM tantrum, it’s cost me $10. I had to buy a mask so I could enter my barbershop to get a haircut.

Very little. I quit using social media in March and I don’t watch the news. I read TD to see what’s going on in the world. But otherwise, I go to work, enjoy lots of family time, and play as much golf as possible. Life is great
My advice - ignore all this shite, keep your mouth shut, and go vote. Millions will do the same and the same pundits will be scratching their head wondering how Biden lost after having been up 10 points in the “polls”.

They came for my co-worker and I said nothing
They came for people in my city and I said nothing
They came for my neighbor and I said nothing
At some point, they’ll come for you and there won’t be anyone to help you. You better open your eyes and see what’s going on around you. They’re isolating us and picking us off one area at a time. There is a reason we are the SILENT majority which is pretty damn ridiculous.

Have had a few moments. Cannot particularly remedy at the drop of a hat. Has required of me to listen closely, which is always good. In the few moments two have been disrespectful and have said 'will take this up with the governing body' - which was and is fine by me.
Am fortunate, have a solid boss and leadership groups...very principle based. We are open to views, do respond even if it means saying 'thank you but we disagree' or 'yes, your view has merit and we will going forward...'

Zero. No impact.
And I’m not diverting 10 freaking minutes for a rally in a parking lot either. If it gets out of hand by some troublemakers, the racking of a slide on P226 will effectively remove anyone from around your vehicle in short order.

No need to rack , one in the chamber.

Respectfully...
Corporations are profit maximizing. They’re not woke for fun, they’re woke for profit. That should tell you about society.
Further, let’s be real: you’re claiming to be the silent majority but Republicans have lost the popular vote in 6 of the past 7 elections. Barack Obama has the highest vote tallies in history - plural, since he did it twice.
Your president lost the popular vote by 3M. Y’all sure you’re the silent majority?

My first world problem was that I was on my new Harley that I got a great deal on in April (thanks COVID) and coming from work (gun free zone....military base) so didn't have my LCR on me I usually carry when I ride. Also gave me an excuse to spend ten more minutes with the wind in my face.

I used to think half the people I knew growing up were smart and great to hang around.

I used to think half the population was dumber than average...now I think it's more like 80%.
Heading to work early so I can stop at Dunkin. Peace.

I usually don’t carry extra mags in my left pocket; now I am. We are mostly unaffected by this where I live, but, at the same time, I’m using added diligence when I am in the presence of a thug(s).

Zero impact down here on the Gulf coast after they opened the beaches back up.
We're fairly isolated down here, no big cities with a mainly a Caucasian population.
Life is good, carry often.
