This. Guy

In a recent chat group with Nets players, Kyrie Irving lobbied for skipping the bubble, the Daily News has learned. In that chat, he also proposed that the players can start their own league, according to a source

Kyrie telling other players they should start their own league is not new. He’s talked to teammates about it this season. Based on what I was told KD was not as enthusiastic.

Taped a new Pod on it this morning. Out soon.

KD not being enthusiastic for an entrepreneurial endeavor the likes of which are rare, if not unheard of, is the least surprising part Of this whole quote

Kyrie needs to stfu. I usually ignore his takes on everything because it's always some far out, pseudo-intellectual bs. But my god has he been on one lately.

Those pain pills from his surgery a few months back must hit different.

I'm not sure this would be different in a meaningful way from what the NBA already has in place.

Ownership would sell franchises to billionaires for a lot of money. The most wealthy former players would have enough capital to become part owners.

The owners of those franchises would still have to fight with the rookies and veteran players when it came to who gets what cut of the money. But they would have lost the continuity with famous franchises that brings innate value to the table.

After all, who would go to or watch a Knicks game if they didn't have the name Knicks on the jerseys?

No anti-trust for the NBA shows how far it lags behind baseball.

It's like he's Lucy from the movie Lucy and soon Kyrie will just turn into a basketball that is one with the game and all of Earth.

All black owners, all black gm’s, all black coaches, and all black players.

Me too. Athletic has no excuse but CNN was probably like let us listen to this pro player speak his mind without doing homework to see that he's actually insane.

Good luck Kyrie, I wonder if he is prepared to invest a large amount of his money in order to get said league started up. Not only that, also prepared to take a significant paycut to play in said league, as they won't have near the financial capital as the NBA does

Of course, this is the guy who thinks the earth is flat, so it's no surprise he doesn't think logically.
