When does Texas turn blue?

I say 2026. It will be another California by 2030. Republicans there seem to be better at appealing to "Hispanic" and "Asian" voters than in California, but it won't be enough until the party overhauls its programme nationally to be less about muh tax cuts and muh Israel. Also there's the influx of white liberals from other states who are the most left-wing and most politically active.

influx from inside US will turn it. A California or NY "conservative" is still blue.

Gonna take longer than that, but it’s coming.

It's the white women in Texas that are trending blue from red.
You can thank Trump for that.

They were saying back in the 70s Texas will soon be going blue

They've always been one of the dumbest voting blocks

Suburban women are the biggest threat to the republic in 2020. Largest voting block, all feels, no accountability for results.

Back then Texas was probably like 5% Hispanic. There were some transplants, but mostly blue collar workers or people in oil or construction sectors who were Dailey conservative

Ask LBJ about that. Texas was once a quite blue state and one of the most regulated in the nation. What stupid frickers don't seem to get is that it is a still highly regulated state on par with California just more YEEHAW.

It’s spelled “bloc,” blockhead.

Hillary only got 42% there in 2016, barely any better than obama in 2012.
If you compare dem vote share in texas from the 90s to now, it hasn't budged much.

During the springtime when the bluebonnets bloom.

Parts of Texas will always be blue.
But we have a ranch in the Hill Country (Fredericksburg) and a house on the Gulf in Rockport; and our neighbors at both locales are as Red as they've ever been.
Same with our best friends and family in College Station and New Braunfels.
I’m not saying we don’t have left-leaning progressives in Texas.
But they’ll never overcome the conservatives.
I volunteer in a precinct in Houston, and our constituents are stronger on the right than they’ve ever been.
Maybe that’s the case on the left too?
I don’t know.
But I can tell you: When push comes to shove, liberals won’t want to be a part of the action in Texas.

He’s not talking about you, EKG. It’s undeniable that women in Austin, Houston, and Dallas are overwhelmingly trending blue
