Isn’t “Ole Miss” the name slaves used when speaking to the wife of their master? If they really wanted to woke up, they would only go by “University of Mississippi”.

A Rebel doesn’t necessarily have to be a Confederate. Plenty of heroic rebels in world history, including the men that founded our country.

No way in hell Dixie is coming back though.

Dude, do you remember what happened to Mizzou in 2015? We’re not that big of pussies.

We got the “Ole Mississippi” as back up on that. So long as we’ve got back up, we’re not changing.

That confederate statue in the circle will be gone by Fall Semester though. I think they should put it in the Confederate graveyard on campus to appropriately label it the death of the Confederacy.

Yeah their problem is they let too many outsiders in to the party. Started taking kids from Cali and other liberal states. That’s usually how all of this starts.

I doubt it it. We, in the collective sense, just keep taking it and ask for more. We are getting run over and doing nothing about it.

Well, let's see. The student body DID fight the National Guard in the streets of Oxford just to keep a black, veteran taxpayer from attending his state's premier public institution of higher learning.

These are historically pretty extreme folks, I would say, so you never know what they might do.

It’s inevitable now. Might as well rip the bandaid off and push for a replacement that makes sense.

Houston school board made a local HS drop “Rebels” and replaced it with “Huskies.” Huskies...in Houston. Texas.
