What are the lithium levels in the water coming out of lanxess for comparison?

Lanxess Project = 230-250 Mintak, 5:34 mark
SWA = up to 461
East Texas = up to 634

Eta accurate numbers

Remind me what project East Texas refers to?

This is the 1st I have heard about East Texas. I searched drilling permits for re-entries on the Texas Railroad Commission website but didn’t recognize any of the companies in the list of results. I’m hoping for confirmation/more information from SLI.

From the press release:
"We look forward to working with the local communities and building our presence in East Texas, and we will be releasing further technical reports defining the project areas in the near future.”

There isn’t an East Texas project at the moment.

In the 6:22-8:19 range of the Bloor Capital interview from February Mintak talks about what he calls the “exploration expansion program” that they launched in Nov 22. Says that they had been sampling brines westward of current Arkansas project over the last two years as they believed (and seem to have now confirmed) that the lithium concentrations increase as they move westward within the Smackover formation.

As far as today’s PR re East Texas, I’m glad to read “As the Company has been securing brine rights in the key project areas over the last 18 months, it also secured access to a pre-existing oil and gas production well and drilled a new exploration borehole.”
It’s good to know that brine rights are being secured so this super duper lithium concentration might mean something to us someday.

I finally read the entire Hindenburg report while looking for more info on Mintak last night, so I’m just relieved that something he mentioned is being validated by this PR to boost his credibility in my mind.

The annual board of directors vote is here.

Does anyone have any words of wisdom that can help a stockholder with the selections? Thanks.

Cass County Brine, LLC has been soliciting brine leases for over a year.

Cass County Brine, LLC is listed as a subsidiary of SLI.

I followed the link to the Texas legislature where they have this S.B. 1186 it covers the steps the RRC needs to regulate DLE and the important thing at the end is the expected date listed as:

SECTION 3. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2023.

So I'm working on a comparison that I'm sure is apples to oranges in ways that I can't see, but SLI gives me plenty of time to do such things. Here's my napkin math.

Yesterday, Albemarle offered to acquire an Australian pre-revenue lithium miner called Liontown.

Liontown has three projects listed on its website, but only the "Kathleen Valley" project has any real financial info so it's the only one I'm including in my figures. I couldn't find any NPVs for the other two. Maybe they are too far down the road for now.

Liontown claims NPV of $2.8B.
Albemarle has offered $3.7B, which Liontown has rejected.

SLI claims NPV of $2.9B.
($1.9B-SWA project [PFS 11/2021])
($1B-Lanxess projects [PFS 8/2019])

Let's say that the two companies have identical NPVs (close enough) so they get identical acquisition offers.

Under this assumption, SLI is also offered $3.7B. With 166,550,000 Shares Outstanding, this equates to a share price of $22.22.

*Liontown's NPV is based on DFS while SLI's NPV is based on PFS. Who knows what may have changed since SLI's 2019 and 2021 PFS.
Liontown is also a hard-rock miner.

In that Scenario SLI would command a higher offer due to their much cheaper and faster capture process. I forgot long ago how much cheaper their recovery was to traditional mining.

Idk if this info helps on the math of how much faster it is. Would need another company’s mining #’s to compare. If I have time tomorrow I’ll look into it.

This is from a press release a while back:
quote:

ium Extraction (DLE) Demonstration Plant is located. The existing brine flow at this location is approximately 3,000 US gallons per minute (usgpm), and using the design criteria of 90% lithium recovery during the DLE process, results in expected annual production of between 5,000 to 6,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) of battery quality lithium carbonate. This first project at Lanxess South, designated as Phase 1A, forms part of a staged development of commercial lithium projects contemplated by Standard Lithium: Phase 1A Existing brine flow at Lanxess South Plant (design 5-6,000 TPA lithium carbonate); Phase 1B Expansion at Lanxess South Plant (expected approximately 5,000 TPA); Phase 2 Lanxess West Plant (reference SLL Lanxess PEA dated August 6th, 2019); and, Phase 3 Lanxess Central Plant (reference SLL Lanxess PEA dated August 6th, 2019). In parallel, Standard Lithium is also contemplating standalone projects; South West Arkansas Project (current design contemplates 30,000 TPA lithium hydroxide; reference SLL SWA PEA dated November 26th, 2021); and,

In my mind the NPV has already accounted for SLI's efficiency (when it comes to operating costs). Why would they also get to use their efficiency as leverage for a better acquisition price? I may have a blind spot here.

You're correct in that instance. I glossed over the "Net" in NPV.

I love the plans and acquisition of brine rights and I hope the coming DFS and FEED light the fuse. I just wish they would do something concrete like a third proof of concept with the demo plant. The first two are now like ancient history.

Old friend toured a copper mine about the same size. He learned that the massive trucks that drove town into the pit to pick up a load used 600 gallons of diesel per trip.

Standard Lithium certainly has the advantage on this.
