* It's useless to offer solidarity with the so called victims because it won't be accepted even if your opinion is exactly the same as their's.

*Being an eternal victim and feeling sorry for yourself because race pimps and Karens tell you you should feel sorry for yourself leads to poverty.

* Stand up for yourself and get off the Democrat plantation.

Whoever wrote that is a hero in the culture war that is going on. If I didnt own my own business it would be copy and pasted on my wall.

Oh please. If this was true you'd be focused on handling those things, but you're not. You're here posting on this board and broadcasting your pathetic lack of even a speck of intellectual curiosity.

Therein lies the problem. You're not allowed your own opinion anymore. You're not even allowed to not have an opinion at all.

It's join, or else.

One thing you likely don't know is that the poverty rate among black families fell from 87 percent in 1940 to 47 percent in 1960, during an era of virtually no major civil rights legislation or anti-poverty programs. It dropped another 17 percentage points during the decade of the 1960s and one percentage point during the 1970s. Then that trend began to reverse itself. In various skilled trades, the incomes of blacks relative to whites more than doubled between 1936 and 1959—that is, before the magic 1960s decade when supposedly all progress began. The rise of blacks in professional and other high- level occupations was greater in the years immediately preceding the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than in the years afterwards. While some good things did come out of the 1960s, as out of many other decades, so did major social disasters that continue to plague us today. Now you have government housing, various entitlement programs, etc. These programs have existed for over half a century now. Yet, somehow, African Americans today are worse off than their grandparents were in every single government metric. Every single one.

You may as well read this to them in a Charlie Brown teacher voice.

As I write this, I see 2 people have downvoted the post? Why? Are there specific points with which you disagree? Please elaborate. You and I may "agree to disagree" about why you dislike the post, but in the interest of understanding your mindset, please explain. Thank you.

What is a "more proactive role" though?

Thats not defined and most notably unwanted. I do NOT hold the responsibility over every other individual in my race. I've never even been to Minnesota.

It was two people in a bad situation spurred on by the deceased. It should not have ended in death, but holding the whites responsible for one would be like blacks being responsible for the drugged up black in the scenario.

I have no idea. Neither does the author, apparently. I'm all ears if anyone has a reasonable suggestion on what anyone can actually do. Other than join the tomfoolery or give money.

I don't think there is anyone on this planet that is black enough to say these things and not be called a racist.

How do expect to understand complex issues if your attention span is twenty words or less.

What could be added to that letter are things regarding better court/criminal justice reforms.

Courts being stacked against the poor.
Massive sentences for non-violent drug charges.
An actual goal of rehabilitation.

How old are you?

Yes, it's a lot of words, but it's well written and well punctuated. Takes a couple of minutes to read. God forbid somebody spend time listening to thoughtful remarks.
