No, it does not change a DAMN thing. IN FACT IT MAKES WORSE!
If the man can't breathe, collapses, you don't put a KNEE to his neck! You call in medics because the guy is in noway a threat!
If the report is accurate, the man was distress and not a threat.

I swear there was a healthy thread at some point in the last few days that was rife with declarations that "nobody disagrees that the cop is guilty, but we can agree with that and still disagree with ________ at the same time." Vast majority agreed. Almost unanimous. I thought anyway, maybe I dreamt it.

You are going to make me sound like I am condoning the police officers actions. I am not. He should be arrested and brought to trial. He has a history of doing things that go beyond protecting and servicing. With all that said, and I am sure some will ignore what I just said and throw out some bullshite leftist labels or gotcha posts.
Here is the problem. Many people arrested say they can’t breath, they are being hurt, they didn’t do anything. He was reportedly saying he couldn’t breath before he was even on the ground. If I were a cop I would have thought bullshite too and I would have also been wrong. He needed medical attention, but didn’t show
Also, while the knee on the neck for 10 minutes is absolutely inexcusable, it would more likely cause bone/vertebrae damage, depending on the pressure and angle, before affixation. If anything, it would be possible to have the knee cut off one auditory and the ground/shoulder the other, but that didn’t look like based on what I saw.
