Playing bad FCS is always awesome. At least its not in Houston or Dallas I guess.

The halftime show will be better than the football

Not sure if serious... I would rather play a good Power 5 team at a relatively close neutral site game every time.

If they're going to play FCS every season anyway, there's no good reason it shouldn't be Louisiana schools. Keep the money in state and rotate it among each one. I like this move.

This is great IMO.
Halftime will be fun and it helps support some in-state programs that need it.
If we must engage in these rent-a-win FCS games I don't mind keeping the money in the state.

Hard to get excited about this. Who really wants to see this match up?.
Don’t think it’s an advantage to either school to do this.

It should be a good time. Hopefully race relations are calmed by then and everyone can enjoy everyone’s company. As it should be.

Will be a lot of fun to roll out the red carpet and tailgate . Plus they both can use the cash infusion.

LSU and Southern need to play Neck together.

Seeing as the Human Jukebox was playing Neck before the Golden Band from Tigerland. I believe they should come to Tiger Stadium and remind our band how the song is played.

Tf? Who wants to see LSU vs. Utah State or LSU vs. Appalachian State?

If an away team plays it...it has nothing to do with us

Ignorant. A lot of people want to see this. We play one FCS school every year, why not Southern? I’m sure their football program can use the probably 2+ million we will pay them.
It’s a great way to support southern and keep the money in state. Unless you don’t want to see LSU support a HBCU...

Down for playing Southern.
Meh on Grambling. Guess they had to do it so Grambling wouldn't bitch.

Yeah honestly we all know where shortfalls in AD budgets for smaller schools Come from. Might as well pay it instate.

This is exactly what shouldn't be happening. I wish the FBS schools (or at least the Power 5 conferences) would come to a collective agreement to end these games. LSU should do an annual rotation of Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, and Tulane as our in-state rent-a-wins. There's no reason to ever play McNeese, Nicholls, Southern, Grambling, Southeastern, etc.

We better not be paying more than 750k for an FCS school from the same city.
