And the protests have absolutely nothing to do with Militarization or drugs.

The problem with policing right now is the bull shite lowered hiring standards for "Diversity", inadequate training, lazy political leadership, Unions, and a culture of protecting your own. Most of that is going to be nearly impossible to fix.

It absolutely has to do with the militarization of our police force. Our cops have declared war on the populations they are supposed to serve and protect. The entire mentality of our law enforcement and judicial system has to do with what we are seeing now. We incarcerate the highest proportion of our population on earth, that is what this is about. Cops trying to figure out new ways to extract "revenue", that’s what this is about.

At least these groups are rioting to express displeasure with the government over something important.

How many have heard of the shooting death of Louisville EMT worker Breonna Taylor that resulted from a no-knock drug raid conducted in the middle of the night that unfortunately was at the wrong address? No drugs were found in the woman’s apartment and no evidence of criminal activity had occurred at the residence.

I don’t advocate for the use of illicit drugs nor do I use any such drugs myself. Yet this War on Drugs® has been a multi-generational brainwashing exercise by the State to condition citizens to accept Police State tactics our founders would have found abhorrent.

Family seeks answers in fatal police shooting of Louisville woman in her apartment.

quote:

On March 13, the 26-year-old aspiring nurse was killed in her apartment, shot at least eight times by Louisville police officers who officials have said were executing a drug warrant, according to a lawsuit filed by the family, accusing officers of wrongful death, excessive force and gross negligence.

According to the lawsuit, filed April 27, Louisville police executed a search warrant at Taylor’s home, looking for a man who did not live in Taylor’s apartment complex and had already been detained when officers came to Taylor’s apartment after midnight. Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, was also in the apartment and, according to the lawsuit, shot at officers when they attempted to enter without announcing themselves. The lawsuit alleges that police fired more than 20 rounds of ammunition into the apartment....

I was arrested (cited and released) for driving with a suspended license.. which was suspended because I forgot to pay a god damned fee and for no other reason. I had no idea it was suspended.

They made me sit in the vehicle and wouldn't let me have the car on (even for AC) and it was hot as frick outside. I opened my car door and the police lost their damn minds.. started screaming at me and going for weapons.

Needless to say.. I apologized and went back into the sauna thankfully my ride came very soon after

In my Texas County, the sheriff is a publicity hound about his local war on drugs.

But the only people ever arrested (and all his department’s arrests are highly publicized — see above) are low-level dope heads who are low-hanging fruit who drive beaters with busted taillights.

You never see anyone else arrested. You cannot tell me that only poor people are in the drug trade.

Many people in the county see this for what it is.

How much context do you need to interpret the police giving arse beatings to people being peaceful?
How do you know they're being peaceful? I watched the guy in SLC get shot with the beanbag. You can't see the guys head. You can tell if he's biting or doing something else. Your second to last one shows the police nearly surrounded and that guy hardly moving after being asked to move back. He got a little spray. Tough shite. The last one is satisfying. Out in the middle of a riot and talking shite. He deserves the rubber bullet, anyone could start tossing rocks, etc.

I notice none of these people are screaming in opposition to the looting and burning of private property.

I would have gladly complied and fixed the problem has I known about it. I'm not anti-government just don't think the police should be held to such a low standard

What's that? And don't bother with George Floyd or police violence. This has more to do with general dissatisfaction with their lives and taking it out on others.

Sounds like you got what you deserved for your irresponsibility. Plus, now you have a story of oppression by the Man for your soy friends. How did you ever make it out alive?

I can agree with that but the rest of your post is pure BS.

This is about blacks getting preferential treatment.

Heathens want to act like heathens with no repercussions.

If Floyd would have gotten in the SUV instead of going to the ground to resist arrest none of this would be happening.

We can't have a civilization that allows people to act however they choose to because of the color of their skin.

I'm appalled at their behavior all the time. Unfortunately it reflects poorly on all of us blacks, and today for the first time in my life I'm deeply ashamed to be black, because I appear to be one of them.

I'll back the blue, and I'll stand with any group that opposes these heathen rioters.

You don't see before. Again, context.

I've seen a person in the ER being held face down after acting out who bit the hell out of a nurse trying to assist. You're ignorant.

You sit your fat arse on your couch and lob bombs at the police but have no sense of what they are going through when asked to quell riots and potential powder kegs. Anyone, anyone is a potential attacker. How about hopping on your social media and trying to calm the terrorists from your political stripe.

I see your point and will assuredly agree on the property confiscation laws enacted as well as metabolic levels of trace elements allowed as possession of drugs.

These are bad laws and have been abused repeatedly by greedy politicians/departments for revenue gathering.

I have a different opinion as to the militarization of our police forces. They need to be two steps ahead of the criminal elements they face Day in and out. I would have to say they are equal in armaments and not always but much better trained.

The citizenry has been lambasted by the media day in and out that law and order is wrong and should be ridiculed and provoked at every opportunity. Honestly I don't know how police departments recruit anyone for that job anymore.

The left has no dignity and respect for anything that they don't have passion for in the moment and want to burn this country down to the ground.

Then the Bolshevik can rise up and enslave another nation.

It wasn't a force, it was four guys who deserve to be punished for that. That's it. No need to destroy other's property.

We saw riots because of Michael Brown and lying witnesses, not an incompetent policeman. Some people will riot at any opportunity and terrorist organizations from your side are the accelerants.
