Holy shite. Does anyone here understand how big of a deal those two things are?

I predict there is going to be a sudden influx of civil liberties enthusiasts condemning the patriot act. It’s going to happen and it’s going to be glorious

The arse-fricking of Reddit is also on deck between their behavior in forcing r/The_Donald off the site and hosting ANTIFA planning groups

Huge deal. But neither has happened yet. And Trump himself said he expects the social media EO to be challenged in court. It’s hard to get my hopes up for these things.

Like a superhero, just when everything looks bleak he swoops in and does something great.

Just declaring them causes a change in policy by organizations such as Twitter, FB, and Reddit.
All these organizations are going to feel pressure from the others not to frick it all up for all of them.

this is a really big deal for those that dont know. The translation is that they no longer have ANY protection and they dont have to worry about local police anymore, they are in the big league now and deal with big league "police"

It seems to me twitter doubled down since. The day after the EO they censored, or tried to hide a Trump tweet.

Your dumb if you think twitter won't be a platform as a result of this EO. This is going to just cause smaller more free platforms like Gab to fold because they won't have the capital to defend themselves against litigation like twitter does. This EO ensures twitter will last, and censorship will increase when all competition is eliminate by it.

“We have free reign in Minnesota! The AG is on our side!”
“ANTIFA is now a domestic terrorist organization and will be subject to federal law enforcement.”
“... frick.”

That place is a scary echo chamber of Heavily censored and moderated group think.
I’ve read things on Reddit too ignorant to process and seen them have tens of thousands of upvotes and positive comments.

There was a lot of unbelievably stupid shite posted after the NBA’s run in with China, blaming Darryl Morley and praising LeBron.
Anyone pleading the opposite got shouted down as an r/t_d troll.

I've zero faith in our government. Even if they are labeled as a terrorist organization, Democrats and like minded assholes in our permanent government will protect them.

If Gab sticks to it's TOS that is moderated equally it doesn't.
So please explain how this protects twitter that has had it's protections removed because they don't?

I'll won't believe any of this until a full scale investigation of Antifa's funding arms are investigated and prosecuted for the supply of material and financial support to terrorists.

Nothing has been removed yet. If they are labeled as a publisher, they are going to be even more heavy-handed with moderation. And if they are a publisher, I don't see how they won't be protected due to Miami Hearld vs Tornillo, which protects editorialized speech under the 1st amendment.
