That's not surprising, saw an article on NIH's website that indicated asymptomatic carriers may not be contagious. I believe the study was conducted with 30-40 patients and 450+ contacts. They reviewed there results 4-5 days after and the contacts did not produce positive results.

A friend of mine is in his second or third year of residency and has dealt with COVID 19 patients. When I asked him how it spreads, even he said that there's no real particular answer. He also mentioned that through his experience the worst cases have come from people who either have extremely weak immune systems or are morbidly obese.
Other than that, most of the patients that are younger or healthy that he's dealt with have had symptoms closer to a mild flu/common cold.
