Any reviews? I see the elementary and high school are highly rated but the middle school is lower.

Also, how’s Money Hill neighborhood for raising a family. Looks like a nice place from what I can tell.

TIA!

Seems to be a nice neighborhood, a bit heavy on retirees/empty nesters but I’ve seen some families in there. Where is your commute to?

Money Hill is nice. I feel as if that corridor of the parish Up Hwy 21 will see some growth in the near future. They really need a grocery store and other retailers out there.

I can’t speak for the schools.

The Town of Abita Springs becomes an island after a heavy rain event.

I’m not exaggerating.

Money Hill itself is nice but it’s not really a kid neighborhood, mostly it’s empty nesters & retirees.

It’ll feel like a long way into town for you from the folks I know who presently live (or used to live) in MH.

Fontainebleau High School is a long way from MH everyday.

Middle School ratings are always lower. SO much so that they are almost meaningless. Puberty is setting in, kids are hormonal, and parents compare it to their perfect elementary school world.

Most beautiful area on the Northshore. It’s way out there though.

I turned out fine. Abita is such a different town now though, was podunk when I was a kid but had grown up a lot. There will be a good mix of poor, middle and even some upper class nowadays. I am thankful for that experience going to school with a mix of students with different backgrounds.

High school is fountainbleau which is actually in Mandeville. Elementary and middle schools both in Abita and a doubt there is any discernible difference, it’s the same kids.
