Per LDH Website

LDH provides one daily update each day at 12PM CT.

From LDH: "Due to server issues, the most recent update is not inclusive of total commercial lab data. The State Lab data have not been impacted. Once resolved, LDH will update at the next noon update."

Curve has flattened. Open everything up. Stop wearing masks and go back to normal.

Sincerely, America.

With the influx of people into PCB last night, it’s as if covid never happened.

How many patients are on ventilators for reasons aside from Covid and are these numbers being kept separate?

CDC now requires daily reporting from all hospitals on how many patients they have that are COVID+ on vents, how many vents they normally have available, and how many vents total are in use. They also ask questions about how many total beds the hospital has, how many people are admitted being investigated for COVID, how many patients are admitted that are positive for COVID, how many ICU beds available, how many in use, etc. etc. It is a long list of various numbers you have to report daily.

I know...because I've had to report all these various numbers to NHSN(part of the CDC) when my boss was out.

ETA: They also make you report how many deaths due to COVID as well as how many hospital acquired cases of COVID (meaning the patient was in the hospital for at least 14 days and then tested positive for covid...making it likely they got it from the hospital)

We are all people, and today now more than ever, during these challenging times of uncertainty, while doors may be closed, and even though we are apart, we are still together, without leaving the safety of our home, everyone is here to help, and we will get through this, together.

This might be a dumb question, but are the vent numbers specifically for Covid patients or are those all vents being used in state?
