I’ve heard the locals are super stuffy and not real welcoming to new comers. Could be wrong not sure but that’s what I’ve heard. Besides that, it seems like a pretty nice place with good proximity to br for whatever you’ll need without having to actually live in br

VERY little to do there. Nice town and great folks but just a very small town. Hunt/Fish if you can afford a lease or to buy but land is pretty pricey. MTB trails. The Bluffs golf course. 1 hour to Natchez. 45 mins to BR. No real night life or bar scene except a couple of small restaurants.

Pretty big upside about living in St.Francisville

Any particular neighborhoods or areas around there that are nicer than the others
Fun fact. Snafu Shelton(from The Pacific) really did go to Lousiana after the war. He retired in St Francisville on some property at the top of the hill just north of Thompsons Creek.
When Derrick Todd Lee was swabbed and arrested, he had been living on Snafu's old property, in the little house facing 61.

I have relatives living up there and they really like it. But get ready for rain and thunderstorms. Possibly the wettest and stormiest place in the state.

I lived there at one time years ago. I couldn't think of a better place to raise a family. The school system is really good and it's a safe area with little crime. Don't move there though if you are single. Very little quality single women in that town over the age of 21. Also there's not a lot to do there so it can get boring at times. It is a beautiful area though. People are nice once they warm up to you. They just need to get to know you first.

They have the best bridge in the state

I like visiting there. Would probably like living there if I had some property. Lots of antique stores. Old churches and cemeteries. Not far from the Port Hudson battlefield. Not far from Angola which has a pretty cool museum.

The Bluffs is close by. I’d move there for that.

It's where Derrick Todd Lee lived.

Went up there last Spring with some friends. We hiked Clark’s Creek, Stayed at the Myrtles, and ate/drank at the Francis. Everyone we came across was really friendly and welcoming. Although I guess I was a tourist?

OP, I live across the river from there. It's a nice area which offers country living which is a slower living. One can walk out to their back yard and take a piss without a neighbor watching.

It's not very populated which makes it an ideal place to live
