And likely not in any more danger. The world is a dangerous place, I don’t need government helicopter mom-ing me saving me from the bogeyman if it’s gonna cost people their livelihoods.

Look at what happened to Robespierre and Danton.
Robespierre and Danton made the mistake of turning to the guillotine as a means of purification of the country. That is always going end the way it ended for them.
Non-violent revolution will be much more effective. And that will only appear to be necessary when there is more suffering than we have now.

All I’ve noticed is that there is 80% of regular traffic coming home from work everyday.
80% of traffic = not caring what Hildago says or “mandates”

This unqualified brat... Trying to grasp onto as much control as she can.
There is literally no universe where "emergency" powers were intended to go on until the person given them DECIDES to give them up.
These officials that think that universe exists need to be no longer treated like Democratically elected people and treated the way freedom loving people have treated totalitarians in history.

All these petty tyrants who have revealed themselves through this should be thrown out of office.
False
They should be PHYSICALLY REMOVED.
Our nation and nations like ours have generally peaceful transitions of power because even with all of our problems, we still have normal processes for enacting laws that carry punishments.
The moment those processes are removed, the need for a "generally peaceful" approach to dealing with the removers needs to be removed as well.
This shite will happen again and be WORSE if all of these people get away with it with their only consequence being unelected.
Dictators respond to exactly one thing. Fear for their lives.

I was being kind. But, since you upped the ante, your post is also false.
Government officials who have decided to abandon normal rule of law should be PERMANENTLY taught a lesson such that governors/mayors/judges for the next 40 years will read about and fear the consequences.

There is treatment that works for some, but the idea that the lockdown had anything to do with a vaccine/cure is absurd.

If the country elects democrats this fall after the stark difference between the two parties during this we are screwed beyond ever recovering.
Andrew Cuomo has 80% approval and verbally exonerated himself from being questioned with respect to his policies on nursing homes that killed thousands of elderly people.
That's what Democrats are, by any means necessary and party over family, party over all things. They are a religion.

From what I understand, Hurricane Harvey really flushed out the latino vote, which previously had been more subdued. Emboldened, they now have more control over the county and this Hidalgo is but one example of the type of leadership that is now at the helm in a previously well run city. Once the demographic tide turns, the effects can be devastating. We will see what happens in Houston, but the demographic change in voting structure may have already sealed the city's fate.
