Trying to convince this youth to do his undergrad engineering then med school if he gets in
He says he can't but he has no life anyway. All he does is school. and I feel like engineering is harder then biology undergrad level.

You should be worried thst most of these physicians cannot do a physics problem. Things are becoming a little rote if you ask me.

Yep. Good friend of mine. Engineering, then Radiology. He invented some new way to image for breast cancer that revolutionized the way it was done. Smart cat.

Lot of premed do biomedical engineering, highly recommend it over a biology degree if they don't continue on to get their MD

I knew a guy who went from nuclear power engineering to orthopedic surgery. Really good guy.
Said he got really tired of dealing with engineers
And a CArdiothoracic surgeon who was an electrical engineer. He’s somewhere on the spectrum. Can’t hardly relate to human beings. incredibly smart Can’t read social cues to save his life

I think if you would ask a lot of doctors nowadays if the juice is worth the squeeze you may get no as answer.

Each to his own but it is a lot of schooling and debt and a lot of hours of indentured servitude where the AMA decides where you get to have a career, not you.

But hey there an no Engineers I know who gross $250-300k a year (keep in mind malpractice insurance is very expensive and some have to pay for that contribution on their own).

I work with a cardiologist who’s an engineer. Smartest guy I’ve ever talked to. He would explain how the big C-arm works in great detail when I was doing procedures with him. Pretty cool guy, can kinda make you feel like a dumb dumb sometimes.
