The takers outnumber us.
In Mississippi, there have been 8 lawsuits filed by business owners against the state/local governments regarding the constitutionality of the shutdowns.
There are over 700 (and growing) lawsuits filed against businesses by employees for “feeling unsafe” working through this.

I hope those 700 get the China flu.

That’s why Pelosi said, “it’s an exciting time” when presenting the DEMs new stimulus plan

It's depressing. More in the wagon than pulling the wagon.

Those 700 should be fired then. Bye bye lawsuit.

I called the US Attorney office in Florida yesterday and she told me she didn’t work for the citizens of the US, she worked for the government!
We have idiots in positions they are not capable of navigating.

It’s absolutely critical we pass something barring lawsuits over if you catch Covid at work. I could make an exception for if the business knowingly allowed Covid positive employees to go to work and thus spread it.

There are free-loaders everywhere, not just in MS

The law covers people’s feelings now?
If you feel unsafe, don’t go to work; don’t get paid. It’s very simple.

I realize that there is a useful societal role for contingency fee plaintiff attorneys in this country. In many respects they provide a voice for the voiceless. But they are clearly out of control, and terrorize just about anyone that they think they can get a buck out of. It is disgusting.

Yep, and most employment lawsuits are just slightly less disgusting than slip & falls. May as well not even hire anybody besides straight white men, because anybody else can nuisance sue the hell out of you if you ever need to fire them.

The irony of the whole thing is astounding.

Just curious, did you speak to THE US Attorney for your district, an AUSA or an admin person?

When I worked for PepsiCo in Virginia they started this program to recruit from HBC (hisorically black colleges). I interviewed and subsequently worked with some of them.
They literally graduated with a minor in "how to get ahead using the race card". They kept diaries to be used later.
Here are some of the ridiculous accusations...
"My white male boss referred to me as boy". Turns out the supervisor pointed to three fellas, two of whom were white and said, you boys need to get over there and do that.
Another said he was ridiculed for the way he dressed, because he wore a suit and carried a briefcase he was above his grade. Turns out the fella was working on a route truck, where he is supposed to help the salesman deliver cases of drinks, and would sit in the truck in a suit, writing bullshite memos.
After so many lawsuits traced back to this hiring process, they stopped recruiting there.

Disgruntled because they did not get the government cheese.

Yeah, I’ve seen that. The last 3 I have personal knowledge of were all white women, though. One of them was replaced by another white woman and she STILL claimed sexual discrimination. Same shitbag lawyer handled all 3; that’s all he does. Just tries to make it expensive enough that the insurance company settles.

frick those people. Don’t give them handouts and let them rot if they choose. fricking pussies in this country don’t know what it’s like to truly suffer.

shite like this is why people don’t want to take a chance on some groups.
A shitty employee who is a white male is limited in the nuisance suits they can file if fired. Less so for any protected group.

The Founders predicted that once the Citizenry realized they could write themselves a check out of the Treasury...the days of Constitutional Freedom are over.
The term "taker" is a moniker which describes the economic value of a particular individual, as that person either contributes to the GDP...or takes from it. The Dems believe that allocating personal value on a individual because said individual has a lesser economic worth...is immoral. They believe that those individuals of lesser ability - because of their innate inability - are then relegated to life scenarios wherein they are far more likely to become criminal, abandon healthy family units, and wreak havoc on societal prosperity as a whole.
Therein, the Idea of "income equality", reigns supreme as the 'First Principle' of Progressive Ideology. They believe it's all about the money. If the Constitutional Model of 'Individual Freedom' rules...then people of average ability (I.e., the Middle Class) are enabled to keep the fruits of their creative labor, and prosper accordingly. That - by default - creates a Lower Class. The LC being the Dems moral-based impetus for Ideological strife via "whatever it takes". Dems (Transnational Progressive)...despise the Constitution. Though like Islam, will apply Constitutional Principle in order to undermine the Constitution. Supreme irony. The Art of War.
You are right, anc...we are past the point of no return. Been that way since we left the 'Garden'.
