Thinking about a last minute trip to the beach for Memorial Day weekend. Can you travel to Florida from Baton Rouge unimpeded? I can’t imagine a checkpoint on I-10 but I guess they could pull you over if they see Louisiana plates.

If you make it what happens when you get there? Will they send you back inside the condo to self quarantine if they see you wearing an LSU hat and find out that you are from Louisiana.

Seriously?? You not get radio stations?? Yes there's checkpoint and you'll have to isolate for 2weeks.

Hold off another week or so

Yes. They’re not even checking license plates. Only looking for LSU hats.

have you ever played a video game with an open map, but you aren't allowed to access a part of it yet? it's just like that

Stay home. We have enough trash in Florida where we don’t need infected Louisana trash. TIA

You can get to Florida but you can't rent condos so plan on sleeping in your car.

The check point is on I-10.
If you have out of state plates they pull you to the side. Take everyone’s name, address, social and in some cases you have to provide a blood sample. Once you get to your destination you have to self quarantine for 14 days. The county police will check on you daily to make sure you don’t leave. If you are found to have left and/or illegally rented a short term rental you could be fined and/or sentenced to 30 days in jail and your children would become property of the state.

Yep, I’ve lived here for 20yrs and they pull me over and send me home because of the LSU decal on my truck. Zero tolerance for anyone associated with LA.

A little overkill, don't you think?

I went a week and a half ago. Checkpoint, fill out 5 minute report that’s asks for your name, dl number, and passenger names and went about my merry way. Had a bunch of family come also in about 8 different cars. No one was blood tested or asked to quarantine. No one was restricted in anyway

Are there checkpoints set up on 98 or 90 or is it just on I-10? If not the 30 minute detour may be worth looking into.

Go to Orange Beach. Florida not letting out-of-state residents rent condos. Orange Beach is wide open with restaurants.

You can’t rent a condo unless it’s for 30 days or more

This is my question as well. Headed to Destin Saturday.
