I hate that this guy is getting dragged into this craziness. I hope the death threats are pursued by law enforcements.
I'm curious to know where the story about 2500 of fishing equipment came from.
Also, if he had been in the house many times, wouldn't he be well aware that nothing was in there?
Lastly can we all agree that he was not committing any felonies that night?

Larry English, the man who owns the house under construction, told The Washington Post that the structure was not robbed.
“That’s completely wrong. I’ve never had a police report or anything stolen from my property, or any kind of robbery,” he said.
English, 50, said he was about 90 miles away in Douglas, Ga., where he lives with his wife and two children, when Arbery was killed. He said he is severely ill and is building the waterfront home as part of his bucket list. But he said it’s now unlikely his family will ever move into the Brunswick home because he’s faced death threats and his wife is too afraid.
He called himself an “innocent bystander” and said he’s hurting for Arbery’s mother

These people are crazy...Sending death threats to the owner that wasn't anywhere near the house..I hope they track down these people and arrest them...

It would be "burglary", not "robbery".

I stopped caring yesterday. I have other things to worry about in today’s world

I don’t think it matters if he actually committed a crime or not...if they had reasonable and probable suspicion through observance that he was committing a crime then technically that would allow them to proceed.
I personally wouldn’t go chase a guy down, but I do think if I saw a man sprinting from a neighbor’s house - a man that was already suspected of previous break-Ins - I think it’s reasonable to assume the guy was committing a crime.

Citizens arrest needs to be done away with
Humans are too fricking obstinate and stupid to be attempting shite like that in 2020.

I thought the statue was you had to be observing said crime and it had to be a felony.
Meaning that I can detain you because you stole a pack of skittles or if I simply I thought you did something.
Regardless, hopefully this puts to rest some of the bs being floated out there. I dont argue he was trespassing, but that would not meet the criteria.

I would actually prefer the erudite citizens of my neighborhood to take on the responsibilities of my neighborhood's security as opposed to the mongrels who pass for police where I live.

That’s a good point to be fair. But in neighborhoods like that, you got a problem just call the law.

A house under construction?
99% of contractors today do nothing except paperwork. They sub everything out. Site work, slab, framing, MEP, sheetrock, painting, trin carpenters, siding, roofers, etc etc all sub'd out.

They didn’t observe him on the day of the incident until he ran past their front yard. They tell the police they chased him because their had been a rash of break ins and had seen him on video trespassing EARLIER than the day of the incident.

The case may very well come down to that aspect of “observing a possible crime” or direct knowledge, but I would imagine some people and jurors would find the circumstances reasonable to think that a crime was in progress or had taken place.
