So is that 12M cap space we just opened up?
ETA: #Saints are releasing veteran G Larry Warford, saving $7.7M in salary cap space, per @RapSheet.

Kamara extension to be expected soon?

New Orleans paid G Larry Warford a $750,000 roster bonus this spring, but save more than $7M against the cap with this move. The signings of Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill made this a necessity.
Larry Warford had a cap charge of $12.875 million. Cutting him creates $7.75 million in cap space. $5.125 million remains in the form of dead money.

Damn, payton isn't playing
Posted on 5/8/20 at 3:44 pm to Whodatforlife21
We couldn't even get like a 5th or 6th for him?

We saved 7.5 million by cutting him. We could’ve saved 8.5 million by trading him.

we knew it was coming. We could resign him

Should surprise no one. Especially what better players didn't fetch trade wise too

Maybe we can bring him back cheaper and then cut Easton
Posted on 5/8/20 at 3:53 pm to WicKed WayZ
Easton was actually decent last year

Lol but I thought the saints needed help on the offensive line.

The Saints obviously were not attracting much trade interest for Warford, was hoping they could have at least gotten something for him. Oh well, at least this saves cap space! Good luck Larry!
