Carville is uber controversial and an utter Democratic partisan. However, his instincts and handle on the electoral pulse is usually accurate. I was taken by his total confidence that Trump will not be re-elected. Long before C19 hit, there has been one number that has been consistent for years in the aggregate of polling - Trump unfavorable numbers of 52-54% Hence, if turnout is high, then the probability that Biden beats Trump is good. Carville believes it is insurmountable.

He may not win now with the COVID stuff. No matter what happens the outcome is bad. Either the economy is still in the tank or a lot of people die or possibly both.
But to suggest that he wouldn't win with 3.5% unemployment and the DOW at 35,000 is just silly. He would easily win in that scenario.
