After seeing a major dip in revenue over the past month and a half, a Cullman restaurant owner reopened her dining room today in defiance of a statewide coronavirus health order.

Dine-in customers returned to Rumors Deli, a longtime local eatery that serves sandwiches, soups and homemade desserts. Situated just off U.S. 278 on Fourth Street Southwest, Rumors first opened in Cullman nearly 20 years ago, in July 2000.

We are hurting,” Harris said of small business owners and employees. “I just hope people will understand why I’m doing this. These are our businesses. They don’t belong to the government.”

I do care,” she said. “I’m a good person. That’s why I say if you don’t feel this is right for you, don’t get out; stay home.”

I’ve always found dead people to be the most capable restaurant owners.

I love those advocating for free market capitalism that have to add these types of clarifications to their support.

The profit margin for restaurants is already really thin. No way they can survive a prolonged shut down.

I fail to understand most of the so-called "news" produced for public consumption the last decade or more.

Who cares about Suzy, the single mother of 19, struggling to pay her electricity and water while attending cosmetology college and stripping most nights?

Who gives a rat's arse about Jaxton, the 23 year old alphabet soup tattooed and body art freak struggling to cope with anxiety as it wracks up $200k in student loan debt while taking bi-racial modern dance theory for turtles?

Hard to believe the government can do anything. She isn’t breaking any laws by opening her cafe. She might not be following guidelines but guidelines are not legally binding.

The judge in Dallas that imprisoned the hairdresser for not apologizing is getting raked over the coals by his fellow judges, lawyers and legal scholars for his poor interpretation of the law vs guidelines.

I'm actually extremely glad you asked, because ADPH updated the number last night. The new number: ZERO

Page 2 of the PDF

Edit: And 11 total deaths under 50 when including those with underlying conditions.

Your first example shouldn’t concern anyone.

This is Bc Jaxton probably has loans from taxpayers and after college will become a ward of the state again so we’ll be again on the hook for him.

Until that judge is removed from the bench and disbarred, his colleagues and legal scholars words are just like Abbott's... Hollow at best...

That fricker needs to suffer dearly...

Good... Same as businesses putting into effect restrictions, why the hell is it a businesses responsibility to make sure you are protected from this virus.

Where does personal responsibility come into play?

If you don't want to go out and clutch your pearls at home, then do so. Nobody is forcing you to go out and eat, shop, mingle.
