Is it coincidental that Gen X ends when the top of the curve is reached? Snake bit generation.

Millennials definitely start before 1985 and I’ve heard some demographers have it back to 1979.
I know enough 34-37 year olds that exhibit prototype millennial tendencies

Everyone that I have ever known born in ‘81 or ‘82 exhibits more Gen X characteristics
Hence the whole "Xennial" concept.

So when does Gen X start?
I'm '69.
I'm '69.

I am a Gen Xer. I think people born in the early 80s (like my wife) definitely don't fit in with the Gen Xers.

I feel like generations should have a 5 year radius from their beginning/end year. Like if 1980 is the cutoff point between gx and millennial, someone from 1975 can be more millennial than someone born in 1984 and vice versa.

Well someone once said a while back they felt if you were in college when 9/11 happened, you were a millennial.
When you put it that way it’s a massive range for millennials. Most age ranges for millennials cut off with 96. People born in 96 were 5 during 9/11. So you’re saying people in college (up to 22-23) down to people that were 5 during an event. Huge difference in the way they would see said event

I would say Gen X starts in 1965. I was born in 1968.
