For myself, it's more of a confirmation of a lot of stuff I figured was true.

1: A large percentage of our population are nothing but followers. They do what they are told. It makes sense since our entire way of life makes your average person think and behave this way.

2: It doesn't matter what you do in life, you are always at risk of losing income. Even ER doctors have had to take pay cuts in many areas of our country.

3: No matter how serious of a threat death is from whatever disaster (highly infectious virus, a bioweapon or whatever), you should never shutdown the country. No economy can survive a shutdown. None.

4: There are a lot of poor people who need a UI check to keep from living on the streets.

5: Money doesn't know there is an economic disaster happening or people being killed from whatever. It always moves forward and circulates from person to person. I've grown my income since February of this year.

6: Libtards what you to either earn a minimum of $15/hr or get a free monthly check from the government. It's simply a way to buy votes to remain in power forever. It will never work.

The percentage of gullible sheep is significantly higher than I thought it would be.

The percentage of would-be tyrants in the public who believe in their hearts that it is their patriotic duty to turn you in to the police for daring to come out of your basement without permission is MUCH, MUCH higher than I thought it would be.

The number of people who believe the police are your friends is still way too high.

How soft, neutered and out of touch many liberal millennials are. I don't really get on Reddit much but have been reading the Houston subreddit more. So many soft and emotion-driven clowns on there.

Mainly the first one! 2 months ago 60% of America said they didn’t trust the media and that they were no good lying sacks of shite. 2 weeks later over half of that 60% turn into media drones and run, hide, and cry because they’re scared for their life.
Majority of Americans are extremely weak and pathetic and fear death way more than they value living life. And they’re also more or less ignorance of what their actual constitutional freedoms are. Hell, I bet 95% of Americans couldn’t list the 5 freedoms of the first amendment to you!

That I can’t trust many people and that our leaders are vastly underprepared.

I already knew this, but CV has really driven home the fact that today's media are enemies of the people.

I learned that the eventual life under a Communist Chinese puppet Democrat government is going to suck major dick.

So we should just call it quits, then?

It’s taught me that America is basically one giant crisis away from full blown socialism.

One of my biggest surprises was how quickly people have turned on their neighbors. People used to think of government as “the man” and people who harmlessly thumbed their nose at the monolithic bureaucracy were celebrated. But now we’ve seen people turn to social media or law enforcement to snitch on neighbors having birthday parties, opening small businesses, etc.

Sad.

It has taught me that ALL levels of government have way too much power. Some little-man-syndrome mayor should not be able to enact so much change with one stroke of a pen. People absolutely powerless in this country.

1/ A world without sports is a horrible, boring place.

2/ Without sports I really don't have anything to discuss with my liberal family members. It has really highlighted how little we have in common.

3/ I hate progressives. 100% Full stop.

1. Children are resilient and adapt better than adults

2. Money isn’t everything and I will need a lot less of it in retirement than I thought unless I start eating out a ton and taking big vacations
(Spending at my house is down about 30% with no change of income).

3. There are so many people who live on the edge of disaster, gotta find a way to teach the value of savings and debt reduction

4. You never know what someone else is going thru, so always assume their bad behavior is due to some extenuating circumstance and show them a little grace

It's taught me just how few know anything about American History that they would allow their rights and liberty to be wiped away
