Yes, me.

I have to eat 2 gummy bears at the same time because I don’t want to eat just one and for it to die alone.

I would tell you but then I'd have to get you to ask me again so I can answer again because everything has to be in 2's.

I eat M&Ms by color. All reds. All blues. All greens, etc. Is that a thing?

I’ve suffered with it since I was a teenager. It is debilitating most times. Ruins a lot of times that should be fun.

Closet is organized by style of shirt, color and all are on same color hangers. Pants/shorts same. Shoes are all separated. Everything is put away after being used on my office desk and cleaned. It can be annoying. I know it’s probably not true OCD, but I think I have some tendencies.

My oldest son. His teacher brought it to our attention about 3 years ago. It is a form called Intrusive Thought OCD. It was rough at first and we had no idea what was going on. He saw a therapist and was taught some coping mechanisms. It has helped immensely.

A lot of people like things a certain way, order, or they’re very neat. That isn’t usually OCD. OCD stems from unreasonable thoughts (fears) and leads to compulsions to deal with those thoughts. It can be debilitating to some people. It can be frustrating to deal with as a parent but it has taught me to be more patient.

I have to deal with my son calmly when he is struggling with it. It is tied in with anxiety and me getting upset exacerbates the problem. Patience is not a virtue that I am blessed with, so it has made me a better person. Things have gotten much better with my son and it he has good control of it now.
