Small things in games that bother you?

One thing that has always bothered me is when in RPGs you are unable change a person’s outfit/armor and weapons.
Really bothers me.
Another thing that gets under my skin is when you load for a few seconds so that you can perform one pre-decided action before a cutscene.
That happens way too often in Persona 5. You load just so your character can be told that they can’t do anything and it is time for sleep and the only action it lets you perform is “go to sleep”.
Happens in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 also. Load for a couple seconds after a cutscene so that you can run downstairs to enter another cutscene.

Having to “hold” down on a button to do anything or pick something up. The first person to come up with that idea should be shot.

There aren’t enough buttons on a controller. Paddles and side bumpers should become a new standard for console gamers. And have them act as extra buttons. Not programmed to do what another button does.

Loud, unskippable intros and mandatory tutorials bug the fricking shite out of me

With all the technology nowadays, NPC facial expressions in most games are still pretty lifeless. I guess it could be worse like ME Andromeda at launch
Also, having your gun pointing at people in towns in Fallout games. Modders have made it where your gun is out but resting, yet Bethesda is incapable of doing that.

Any QTE that requires you to repeatedly tap a button for more than a second or two.
Also, friendly NPCs that block your shot, or when they block your path and won't get out of the way.

Forced actions that slow the action down.
For example, FF7 Remake does the Uncharted thing where often you need to contort your body and shimmy through a tight gap. The result is a slow walk/shuffle that wastes 10-15 seconds of gameplay and it happens over and over again.

That's intentionally placed there to allow the game to load assets without a loading screen. Until hardware power vastly outstrips what games are doing (so, never), you either have to have a loading screen or something that forcefully slows the characters movement into a new area.

So you were a HUGE fan of escorting Natasha in goldeneye

Escort quests.
Rogue Squadron, I'm looking at you.

Having to follow an NPC that moves slow af.
Mandatory combat tutorials that refuse to end unless you do the attacks perfectly even if you'll never use them that way (SW Jedi Fallen Order, Ryse Son of Rome, etc).
Any game that has an achievement requiring you to watch the credits to the end.
Censorship in games, especially WWII games.

This. Also games that have a mission where you have to follow an NPC all over the map while not being seen with a bar on the screen showing you how suspicious they are. GTA, Sleeping Dogs, etc.

Fortunately, I can keep her locked up in Bunker 2 and Archives while I complete the other objectives. I'll go back to release her only when I'm ready to exit the level.

I'll give Natalya some credit, she's actually useful in Jungle.

I could be mistaken, but I thought I read that they changed this in Royal.

Having 2x12s in ancient tombs so the character can cross gaps.
