How do you really feel about the nurse heroes?

As we’re getting deeper into this pandemic, I’m starting to lose admiration for these nurses and starting to feel resentful towards them.
Most of the ones I know at least are young and healthy, are having steady work throughout this tough time, getting paid up to $900 a month extra for hazard pay, getting free lunch every single day multiple times, etc etc.
Not only that, but the attention they’re getting from the media, restaurants, retail stores like Sam’s (this morning they are allowing all healthcare heroes to come in between 8-10 even if you’re not a Sam’s member for 50% off everything).
I know this has been discussed to death here, but if I was offered a steady work schedule, up to $1000 a month extra for my normal job, and free food and perks every day, I’d be ashamed to be called a hero. ESPECIALLY if I was young and healthy.
Rant over.

Teachers vs nurses
Let's get it on

This is literally their job. They spent years of schooling and training and learning and practicing and developing skills to treat sick people. And yet the world is acting like this is the women going to factories during WWII
I find it ridiculous the admiration they’re getting. They’re not the only ones working right now. No one is praising the entergy heroes that are keeping the power on or the water treatment plant heroes that are making sure your shite flushes. No one is praising the grocery store shelf stocking hero or the mail man warrior.
But I’m not surprised. Men tend to go to work and do their job and then go home.
Women tend to cry for attention constantly and break their arms patting themselves on the back.

I don't know. But if grocery workers and all get hazard pay I may be upset. I got nothing from government, nothing from sba. Im still working going into people's houses every day and while I'm not afraid of the virus. I do have some preexisting conditions which lower my survival chances.
Im kind of jealous of those getting paid by the government to stay home.

Nurses have the best public relations and lobbying of all health care workers.

It is about a bad as the police after 911. Now they are insufferable.

Especially considering all that toilet paper recently bought that’s been flushed constantly.

Jesus Christ.... This is the OT versions of a Karen Facebook rant...
Who gives a frick if they make more money. Do you expose that shite to yourself when you go to work...?
My wife is a nurse and I’m an RT... we don’t care about that hero shite... We do our jobs and come home... They want to pay us hazard pay, frick yeah we’re taking it. Any a-hole on this site who says they wouldn’t is a fricking liar....
Blame the hero shite on the media, and hospital administrators who love to play the “we love our employees” bull shite...

This site is pretty much the only social media I consume, if you call it that.
So I don't see these "nurse heroes" stories you guys see on Facebook, Instagram etc.
With that being said, I probably wouldn't give a shite either way. You guys get riled up for stupid shite.

I just saw posts on FB about “Don’t worry about your kids missing months of school. Us teachers will get them back on track next year” and “Thank teachers for forging ahead and working remotely”. I know, I know it’s only two posts so it’s not everyone.
But damn these attention whores of all stripes are annoying as shite
