If you didn’t watch his news conference yesterday, he said if we didn’t do the quarantine measures, the death toll could have easily been between 1-1.5 million Americans.
Does this sound extreme to you, or do you believe it could have easily happened?
I do believe the death toll would have been 10x (or higher) worse than it is, but 1.5M would have never happened because people would have started doing their own self quarantine long before that happened

We will literally never know one way or another.

So, quarantine measures would have been done regardless.

We also will never know what would've happened. Just be happy we're not trending towards 1.5 million, which lets Trump begin opening the country.

He's just trying to get the Dems to argue with him.

Funny coming from a guy that said we had everything under control and would be fine in March.

he is just using the MSM fear mongering as a gotcha because they said it in order to shut the country down to hurt trump, since they didnt die, trump can now justifiably claim his actions saved all those lives

they set the rules, trump shoves their face in their own BS narratives every time

He's just going by the estimates of the models he was shown. Impossible to know, but probably would have only come close to that number if no one did any kind of mitigation at all. Which would never have happened.

i mean, let's ask some honest questions:

1. How many people were listed as dying from coronavirus when they just couldn't receive their normal health services during the lockdown.

2. Were we testing for coronavirus traits or specifically COVID-19?

Lots of ways to mischaracterize deaths that occur due to lockdown of services and shitty testing scope.

If everyone thinks there's no skew to any of this crap then think again.

Assuming a mortality rate of .7% (high-end estimate of what the actual rate is thought to be), you would need 214 million infected to hit that number.

So roughly 65% of the population. That seems like a lot, but infectious disease isn't really my thing

Deflect to someone else instead of holding your POTUS responsible.

Just like we will never know the actual number that died from covid or the mortality rate. This will be a political football both ways.

Just ask any CNN reporter, then believe the exact opposite.

It's not a crazy number to estimate if we had done absolutely nothing and continued on as usual. How many elderly and obese people do we have in this country?

Being a germophobe he bought into the CDC/NIH government types hype behind false models. He should have never allowed that turd elf, Fouci, to speak on his own. Trump has no one to blame but himself for this entire mess. He started the ball rolling and gave cover to the dem mayors/governors to turn this country into Hooverville. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think he will win come NOV, mindless Joe or not.
