Instead of trillions of dollars of “stimulus” why not just press pause

No mortgage payments, car payments, loan payments in general, the only things we need to actually buy that have a cost of production are things like food, medicine, certain services so just have people pay that or give subsidies to support actual essential costs of living.
All of these trillions of dollars of stimulus will just evaporate and be wasted or exploited by big businesses and banks etc...

Stop thinking logically. That’s not how the world works.

Uhhhhhh. When the lenders run out of cash, what happens?

I’m talking about current loans...lenders have already lent the money so it’s just about not wasting money just to tread water and run up trillions in federal debt for no reason.
Just press pause
Just press pause

You have to be 18 years old.

Where do you think these lenders got money?

That has happened. But many people....the most vunerable, don't have mortgage or car payments. But I agree with you that big business will steal much of this stimulus money, especially since the orange one fired the oversight inspector general.

Have you given this a lot of thought??

What are businesses actually getting in the stimulus?

He didn't say to hit Erase.
With pause, you just pick up where you left off and pay back the same amount as you originally agreed.

Okay. I’ll ignore Freddie, Fannie, and Gennie.
What happens to the other $4T in consumer debt?

Doubt you’ll be saying that when your debit card declines because the bank doesn’t have the cash to cover it

Agreed. Why can’t we simply take a two month pause.
