13 Places Where You Can See the Bluest Water in the World!...

Dream away baws!
Guess for bonus points you could say "how many you've been to".
Went to Plitvice Lakes National Park two years ago and I'd submit it's one of the most magical places on earth. Was always tops on my bucket list.
Been to Peyto Lake. So beautiful. Went there in November and it had already iced over.
Stayed on a barrier island in Belize, but not Ambergris Caye. Some of the best diving ever. Dove on a drop off that literally went down thousands of feet. Made the mistake of drifting down. When I looked at my gauge and saw 185' I went oh shite and came back up. Back then we used steel tanks and you'd run out of air before you'd get the bends. Still one of the more stupid things I'd done and live to tell the tale.

Peyto Lake and Devil’s Bay. I would like to add Crater Lake soon. I probably would have already been there if it were more easily accessible year round.

Curaçao has some of the bluest water I’ve ever seen.

Yep. I hope to go there. My daughter lives a few hours away and we would like to visit when we can travel again.
I've been told the Sisters area is great to visit as well.

Nice, France has some crazy blue water

I don't see Grand Isle State Park on the list.

Tourist trap of a town. Will take an hour to walk it. Watch your speed driving through. Cops are serious about that 20 mph limit.
The draw of that area for the most part is the outdoors and all you can do.
Bend, 21 miles away, has more to see, do, drink/eat than sisters and it isn't close.

I've been to a couple. There are a few I'd add as contenders for the list. The waters around Providenciales, TCI in particular are other worldly and that blue extends out for miles.

Does one stay in/around Bend to see Crater Lake?

It's 2 hours away so it can be done.
There isn't much of a city nearby and I haven't been there in a long time but I'm sure there are cabins or a yurt that can be rented close by if you want to be closer.

I've been to Plitvice and it is beautiful, though I would call the water turquoise and more green than blue.
The bluest I've seen is the Mediterranean on the Spanish Costa Brava in the town of Cadeques. You drive over some coastal mountains and then drop down to the coast and as you crest the mountain the ocean suddenly appears and it is breathtakingly blue. As an aside, Salvador Dali's house is in Cadaques and open for tours.

I've been to five of those beautiful places; however, the crystal clear waters all start to look very similar.
Grace Bay was not impressive but Chalk Sound was a different story. Not necessary clearest of waters but somehow the water looked like it was a glowing radioactive turquoise.

I've been to Crater Lake twice staying both times in Klamath Falls. The first time I drove up from KF in the afternoon to scout things in anticipation of driving to CL for sunrise the next morning. Glad I did as major rains hit that next morning. August 2017 was a time of forest fires; smoke filled the caldera so no water to be seen. I wouldn't make an Oregon trip just to see Crater Lake but to me it's definitely worth a side trip. Also be aware that Crater Lake gets a LOT of snow so the rim drive around the lake usually doesn't open until some time in July.
The water is definitely a deep blue but (to me) no prettier than the waters of Lake Tahoe.

Maybe not on the level of some of these, but the water outside the reef off Key West was absolutely glowing a incredible turquoise hue that day we went out there.

Banff National Park could have easily occupied 10 of these spots

So Many beautiful spots. This one is high on my bucket list. Corsica. It's French but half the population is Italian. The best of both countries food and wine and you can swim in the morning and ski in the afternoon.
And skiing.

And skiing.

Palawan is the only one I've visited from the list. I'd gladly pay a lot of money to be at any of those places right now....

Wow. Corsica looks really nice! I've toyed with a 30th birthday trip for my son.
I feel like an Adriatic Sea (i.e. Montenegro, Albania, Croatia) type island or cruise is in the cards one day! But this looks interesting too.

Rio Celeste in Tenorio National Park, Costa Rica
A subterranean volcano produces minerals that react with the river and give it a permanent bright blue color.
