Per NBC. Plasma treatment being tested in New York may be coronavirus 'game changer'

LINK

Why with few studies, no controlled testing results and only anecdotal evidence is this a “game changer”??

Because Trump didn’t originally recommend it.

The hypocrisy of the media is insane.

The procedure has been around for over 100 years, longer the HCQ

They have actually talked about this in several of the press conferences. It is not new and been in the news for a few weeks.

And it's spelled differently too! Totally different situation!

Idk man seems like anecdotal evidence. I’m gonna need to see some trials before we start putting blood inside each other.

Yeah. The Texas virologist on Joe Rogan was promoting this.

It’s too expensive, and it’s not practical as a front line treatment.

Our best option is repurposing existing drugs to treat the virus. It’s the fastest, cheapest, and most practical approach.

we need to instantly outlaw any use of it until we have 18-24 months of testing since its only anecdotal evidence that it works

seriously though, the plasma BS is only for those on ventilators too sick to use HCQ

Does anyone know if the Trump Family Trust owns any stock in blood?

Key to this is that you have to have sick people who get well to get the antibodies. So you have to have people get sick.

Secondly there is at least some data that says many of the people who were sick have fewer antibodies than expected in their plasma s for them it may not work.

This is not a new idea

First I wouldn't call it bs. I've seen a couple of small studies showing some good and others not so much.

Way I would handle it is first line hcq. If annoyed to hospital, plasma.

If ards, if probably go il6 drug.

But that is just me talking of the top of my head with literally no evidence to support it but hope and prayer.

well what i meant was the way it was being portrayed compared to HCQ when its a next level medicine where its gone beyond the point HCQ works

its not going to replace the HCQ, its just for the next stage if you need it so the ones dying in ventilators from co2 the blood thing takes care of the co2 shite

this changed the game in 1890. you have to draw plasma for antibodies from people who have recovered from the infection. its called passive immunization.

its not being blasted because of obvious limitations. Theres only so many people who have recovered, and they only have so much plasma, and they have to be willing to donate the plasma.
