I don't miss those times

You just have to let her cry it out and tell her to go take care of the baby so you can get a good night's sleep

Oh, and let her cry it out. The wife too.

This. It's difficult to let her cry, especially if she is your first child. You feel guilty etc, but she is training YOU right now. She already knows when she cries, you'll be there. Going to be difficult to break her of it when she is used to you guys coming when she cries.

It's okay to let them cry. She will wear he little self out.

I second the magic sleep suit suggestion. Worked great for both our kids. Once they start getting too big for a swaddle they want some freedom of movement in the crib but also the security feeling of being swaddled.

Magic Sleep Suit

With our second we found that she liked rain sounds, so we put an Amazon echo dot in her room and told it to play rain sounds for an hour when we put her to bed

Welcome to the club, Mine is 6 months old and does that almost every night.

We can't do the cry out yet since my mother in law is staying with us and freaks out if we did that.
We will do the cry out method soon.

Could be an ear infection. Ear infections hurt babies a lot worse when you lay them down. Is the baby tugging at its ear?

Do y'all not have a rocker swing?

They are life savers. Strap them in, and let them swing away.

Make sure there isn't anything wrong like an ear infection or reflux.

After that try a Nested Bean sleep sack and try crying it out like others suggested. Make sure she is getting enough sleep during the day so she isnt overtired when going to bed.

Sleep regression. It happens. Got to power through.

Magic Merlin sleep suit worked for our first, not our second

Do the Ferber method, it works. Whatever you do, don't let the kid fall asleep on you or mom or sleep in your bed. It's hard and painful especially at first. We had to do it after we foolishly let ours sleep in our bed for about 6m after an ear infection. Making a 1yr old cry it out who is stubborn as frig is pretty much cancer on your marriage. But we made it as did he. Now he can sleep anywhere and it doesn't matter.

Our 2nd one we didn't make that mistake so from about 3mths he didn't get rocked to sleep or fall asleep on us... he got put down as soon as his eyes were closing. The result was a much easier sleep time.

I'll also follow up on something else for later. Establish a firm bed time up until they turn 13 and make it early. Make a deal about it also. Like ok, it's 8'oclock, time for bed. Then if you want to be a decent dad, go and talk to them and read them a story and if you're not a heathen, say a prayer with them. Bedtime was always my thing and sometimes I would spend 30+min just talking and reading to them. It helps develop a bond of trust that pretty much still has held up. And it gives you alone time with the missus. Parents who don't have established bed times for their kids, aren't happy parents.

Maybe put the baby bed next to yours so she can hold your hand?

You are a fricking retard. Nobody is letting a baby cry for an hour straight. Do you know how long that is?

My wife and I did it with my first (of four) child. She stopped just short of an hour. We had done the same as the OP, spoiled her a bit with holding and cuddling. It worked great. She suffered far less than she would have had we used your pussy methods, which will result in months of anguish for the child and the parents. The girl turned out great, BTW. She is a PHD living in England with a daughter and a child on the way. Beautiful person.

My oldest had severe colic and driving him around was the only way to get him comfortable enough to sleep even with mylicon. His mom worked nights so it was just he and I. I swear I drove all over south LA those 3 months.

To the op: it could be gas. Talk to your ped about using lactose free formula....assuming not breastfeeding. All of mine had to go on soy based formula.

Whoa whoa whoa.

I know your style of posting and usually get a good laugh, but if eating Dino nuggets is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.

We followed the book “12 hours sleep by 12 weeks old” with our twins and it worked like a charm. They’re now 2 years old and have been sleeping 12 hours a night, 7pm to 7am, since they were 10 weeks old.

We bathe them then just put them in their beds. I think we’ve had to go in their rooms once in the last year.

Are you swaddling?

If so, you might not be wrapping the duct tape tight enough...

ahhh colic, the joys! don't worry but, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

ETA: Have you brought her to a chiropractor who's certified for babies? This could definitely help
