There are no actual sports going on. Gotta drum up some chatter somehow.

Pretty sure the rookie minimum thing was a joke, that's like just under a mil per year.

However, probably wasnt joking right after with more than G league comment

A four year education is quite expensive these days.

Maybe so. But how many of those that are recruited heavily actually stay for four years or eventually even graduate? Let's be honest, college football - and basketball even more so - have become the minor leagues for professional sports. The pro organizations know this and they really don't care. The NCAA knows this and pretty much turns a blind eye to it across the board for the schools with big name players who are "one and done" or at best two years in a college program.

I guess there's nothing really wrong with bringing in players by nearly any means necessary in order to help your Athletic Dept bring in revenue for the school. Essentially, we've returned to the college days of Doc Fenton, where players were hired for their athletic ability. Is there anything wrong with that? Well, that remains up for discussion. But most certainly the players who bring in millions upon millions of dollars to the university ought to receive something for their efforts from the school rather than having to wait until they are draft eligible.

What we've seen leads a rational person to believe that Wade is guilty of NCAA violations, but then again, it's not up to sensationalist TV programs to play judge, jury, and executioner. These television programs seek to make money by sensationalizing everything and stirring controversy. They're not there to provide a real unbiased documentary. They exist to make money. And a story about college basketball without some kind of tension doesn't sell.

For his part, if he's innocent of the allegations levied against him, I'd like to see Wade own the people bringing these accusations.

Sorry for the enormous tome I've written. Just had to get a few thoughts out of my head. I have a tiny brain and can't keep too many thoughts going at one time without short circuiting.

I mean I get the rationalizing it by fans because it’s rampant in the sport but the weird pride many of you take in having it displayed on tape is pretty embarrassing

Whatever man I’m just happy to finally be on a level playing field with the other top programs

That's why nothing will come from this. It was two guys talking. There is no way to judge what was joking, what was bragging, what was gamesmanship, what was serious, etc.

Unless there are players saying they got paid, or proof that a payment was made, it's just two dudes talking.

There are a dozen ways to explain everything that was said.
