Longest 2.5 weeks of your entire life?

I guess the initial week or so with sports canceling left and right then the whole shutdown thing, this feels like the longest 2.5 week stretch I’ve ever experienced. It feels like months have gone by. I’ve felt like we’ve been waiting for a hurricane, but worse because at least you know when that’s coming and when it will be gone.

This isn’t near as bad as the days right after Katrina or Gustav

I wish I was half the pussy you are.

No, having my 70 yo mother living with us while recovering from open heart surgery was the longest feeling period of my life.

This has been the best 2.5 weeks in a long time. Life is so much slower now. Much more enjoyable

I've spent months at sea... underwater. This ain't shite.

Well we still have another 2.5 weeks to go

I’m a massive sports fan and have had no problem chilling at home when not working and finding other things to do. People are being babys, it’s not that big a deal

That’s really what I’m afraid of. I think it’s been worse for me this time (vs post Katrina or Gustav) because I had to shut down my business. And the worry on top of the boredom has started getting to me.

Wow, what a baby. Congrats on your cushy carefree life.

I’ve been occupying my time crappie fishing and turkey hunting. I realized all this worrying was slowly killing me.

I’m still working so my day to day hasn’t changed except for the social distancing thing. Weekends have slowed down a little.

No even close. This is inconvenience, not "hard times" for me yet.

IMHO, you are doing life entirely wrong if you can not weather a storm in good cheer . Is there NOTHING that you have wanted to learn, or read or watch or build or do or accomplish that will add value and meaning to your life? Step off the treadmill, enjoy the ever-living hell out of this gift of a day.

Gustav was tough. The flood was tough. This has been easy.

The week or so with no power and cleanup after the tornado outbreak on April 27.
This past Tuesday's storms almost piled the no power thing on top of the shutdown. We had multiple trees down on power lines and I counted 12 power poles on the road I live on that were broken. Shout out to the guys who worked for 6 or 7 hours in wind and rain to patch together service to us. Now, they need to get on a permanent fix because I don't think power lines being 7ft off the ground is up to code.

I had emergency fasciotomy surgery on my left leg on 10/14/2010 and didn't get out of the hospital until January 6th 2011. I wasn't coherent for six weeks of it, but once I was aware of what was going on around me, I was miserable. Didn't get out of the bed until the last two weeks of it. Spent two weeks in wound rehab, and another week exercising to be able to leave on a walker.
They cleaned the wounds and changed bandages every other day at the wound rehab.
