Yet, some Governors are banning the use of these drugs.

The French physician & microbiologist who conducted the original study showcasing the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine & Azithromycin has just completed another clinical trial with 80 patients.
RESULTS:
-93% tested negative in 8 days
-97.5% had no virus in lungs after 5 days
Yet, some Governors are banning the use of these drugs.

Pretty crazy to see governors banning this. Almost like they want this virus to be a disruption for as long as possible...

Anecdotally from what ER and critical care docs have told me...
Works great if you give it early with only cough and fever
But once you come in sick as shite with ARDS the damage is already done and you just have to wait it out.
Basically this stuff is safe assuming normal EKG and should be handed out like candy to people with the typical symptoms and negative flu test

Great news. How available are these two drugs to the masses right now in our area to save someones life?
I mentioned this to my PC Doc on March 17th and his Rx drug provider wes “out of stock”

Yep.
Dunk on Trump first, then everything else falls in place. Then, wait for the MSM to cover your failures.

I’d like to see the patient inclusion criteria.

My friend only got this combo on somewhere around day 11 when he admitted to the hospital with fluctuating oxygen levels and a great deal of kidney pain. He was much improved 3-4 days later. They were considering intubating him and the combo seems to have been of changing the trajectory.

Glad it works, now we have a shortage of Azithromycin and we can't order any more.
They better ramp up production in the USA, if we even make it any longer.

Stole this response from the OT...
quote:
Out of the 80 patients, 74 had a low NEWS score, which means they would ordinarily be told not to come to the hospital and instead stay at home and recover. Additionally, only 12 had a fever.
At the end of the study, 1 died, 1 remained in the ICU, and 13 others remain in the hospital. With a 1.5% mortality rate for all positive tests (what we currently see in the US), you would expect an average of 1.2 fatalities for every 80 positive tests.

I really think the ban is because they know it works and are trying to prevent a public run on them.

Looks like we need much more study.
We are to busy to study during this outbreak.
Studies will begin in 2024.

President Trump needs to "Invoke the P" and force the 3 biggest pharmaceutical companies to manufacture this stuff 24/7.
We're going to get out of this, but Con- Cast's puppets will still be talking about "Muh ventilators" 3 months from now.

Yeah. Those numbers are about twice as good as you’d expect from no treatment (some medical “expert” said it on the TV - so it must be true)
The concern was he didn’t do a double-blind study with a placebo. That’s the standard our medical community is used to.
Both drugs are well studied and already approved. I don’t see the harm in prescribing them - they can conduct their double blind requirement then.
But I’d feel sorry for the chaps that got the placebo.

Yeah. That kinda sums up my response reading it. If these had been results from patients who would’ve been hospitalized otherwise, it would be great news. I’m not sure that’s who these patients are.
