We should be able to figure out what the roster should look like for this fall, soon. The NCAA Division One Council is scheduled to vote on eligibility relief for spring sport athletes on Monday. Perhaps they will determine what the roster limits will be, as well.

Somehow, someway, the NCAA will frick this up.

Wouldnt be hard. To mess it up, all they have to do is nothing. Leave the roster limits and scholarship limits the same.

I would think they'd increase the roster/scholarship limits for a few years, until every affected player is finished. But it's the NCAA, how do I know what they'll do.

Problem with that is all the smaller baseball schools who wont want to pay it

Yeah, most schools lose money on baseball, we're one of the exceptions to the rule. Who knows what will actually get through.

It's possible that it will have taken a pandemic to get the NCAA to increase the number of baseball scholarships.

Schools are gonna be having budget problems bigtime I would think. This might be true especially if the football season is impacted in any significant way. Might not be $$$ for extra scholarships in 2021.

They already are. Men's basketball is a money maker for many schools, and that postseason went down the drain. Not to mention the fact that colleges have mostly gone all-online at this point. This is affecting everyone by now, one way or another.

I’m just expecting everyone back since the MLB draft is only 5 rounds

Which may happen.
There's a decent chance on Monday that they choose to postpone the vote.
