Serious question to those who feel this is being overblown

If you are in the group of people who thinks this is being overblown and it is no worse than the flu, what threshold has to be crossed for you to change your mind?
I'm seriously interested in hearing legitimate answers.
If more people die from this than a bad flu season would that change your mind, if not, what would? Or are you of the opinion that nothing could change your mind?
Personally I'm on the fence, I think if the drug cocktail of Hydroxychlorquinine/Zpack works then this should all ramp down fairly quickly; however, if the Hydro/ZPack combo isn't a silver bullet then it could get much worse.

I was on the fence until Pelosi tried to push abortion and Green New Deal garbage into the first bill. When she did it in the second, I was convinced that this isn’t as serious as it’s being made out to be.
I figure we shake out about what H1N1 did, maybe a little less.

Overblown. It's been here. Was way more prevalent in December, January and February. No test available. Want to see numbers appear? Create a test and demand for something that is already spread amongst us. Numbers are going up because we are just getting significant numbers of test available nationwide and there is still an 8-10 day delay on results.

This is being used as a political bargaining mechanism by the do nothing dems. Once that stops I’ll start thinking about taking it serious.

if this is your threshold then you should know there were around 3k dead that actually tested + and the CDC revised up to 12k a few years later

We’re humans, so we tend to have this sheep mentality and whenever there’s even the slightest hint of some kind of threat, people encourage and applaud any and all government action because they think it’s keeping them safe. That’s absurd. There’s no government policy that’s going to keep you safe from a global catastrophe, real or perceived. Every decision or choice you make is a risk, and that’s the beauty of liberty. You have to trust that individuals and their employers will freely do what’s best for themselves and their families, while promoting awareness and the science. But now, everybody is voluntarily surrendering their rights and the government is taking over everything, both your personal liberties and the public sector and free enterprise. Rights do not come from government, they come from an entity that was here much longer than government. We can’t lose our heads and our country here out of fear.

It is the same with every other situation in life where you have to weigh the risk against the gains.
People are killed daily on the highways, yet millions of people every day jump in their cars and drive to work or play. They have concluded that the payoff is greater than the risk. The same could be said about flying, choosing not to take the flu shot, going in the sun without sunscreen, eating unhealthy food, etc. Each American has to weigh the risk of his/her action against the gain.
For many Americans, going without work for months is a greater risk than contracting a virus of which they will almost certainly survive.
And besides, none of the talking heads can even agree, what timetable would be suitable for this pandemic to subside.
Do you expect Americans to simply remain in limbo and watch their livelihoods and savings evaporate on an answer?!

Honestly, I would need to see at least 5x the deaths as a bad flu season. Since we are allowing government to do anything they want based of the initial claims that it is 10-50x more deadly than the flu, it needs to be pretty severe to justify the massive government overreach

It’s obviously worse than the flu, but its not what people are hoping it is.
Mortality will end up sub 1% when said and done and that rate is really only for 2 groups, elderly and those with underlying conditions. Where as the Flu impacts everyone regardless of age or condition.
Secondly, H1N1 killed 12k Americans, yet it was a blip on the radar compared to this.
The fear mongering by the media along with the ineptness of the CDC and our govt is what started this spiral.
