Just heard that BREC courses will be closed starting tomorrow. I think they're still going to let people walk, but clubhouses will be closed and no cart rentals.

Hearing that walking golf on BREC courses will be free to the public. Courses will continue maintenance but clubhouses won't be staffed.

This is how all public courses should be.

All BREC golf facilities will be closed Tuesday, March 24th so that we can make the preparations needed to re-open while complying with social distancing and the Governor’s Stay at Home order. ?Courses will re-open on Wednesday or when all preparations are complete. For status updates, check golf.brec.org or BREC Golf on social media.?
Additional policies in effect after the re-opening will include:
All sales will be credit card only, no cash sales.
Customer are strongly encouraged to walk when playing.?Cart rentals will be allowed for single-riders only at 18-hole courses.
The 9-hole City Park and JS Clark golf courses will be open for walking only. No cart rentals will be allowed.
Green fees will only be accepted from outside the clubhouse at most courses. Clubhouse access will be limited, including limited or no access to some clubhouse restroom facilities.
Tee times will be reduced at courses as needed to spread out play and limit the number of golfers on the course at the same time.

Would love some sort of confirmation on that.

Confirmed that this is indeed the case. No carts, clubhouse closed, no amenities. Walk the course if you'd like.

Is this 100%? Id gladly walk as long as they don't kick us out for trespassing.

They're probably saving money this way...

Hells yeah....as long as they have the pins in and I know what I am shooting at, free golf is fine by me. I enjoy walking Webb anyway. I can bring a couple of drinks and be good to go.
Santa Maria is also walkable. Beaver Creek can be a bear because the distance between holes is kinda long, but I would gladly attempt it if it is free.

Not that I doubt you, but where are you seeing/hearing this?

I can't link anything, but suffice it to say it came directly from BREC.

Good enough for me!
If the law shows up and tries to arrest me on #8 at Webb, I will just say "BMoney told me it was ok".

I'll probably be on the back 9, so just tell them to come pick me up too.

Is this legit at Webb? Because I'll probably head over there Friday afternoon and just walk till I don't feel like playing anymore or it gets too dark.

Y'all let us know if you walk the course and no one stops you.

Just drove by Webb. There were about ten people walking and playing.
