That is a Huge Compliment. Joe is a quick learner and looks to be able to read a defense very quickly. If joe could even come close/match Mannings career that would be Awesome. JOE

He’s like Manning without that retarded face

Burrow is special I think he has a successful rookie season. Unlike Peyton I think he doesn't throw as many int's as Peyton did his rookie year. JB's talent is his accuracy and his completion percentage. JB can run also something Peyton couldn't do just that ability puts more pressure on the defense.

Joe is the man, Hes about to make cincy lit, they'll make the playoffs in 3 years.

Can't wait til they're comparing players to Burrow.

“The interesting thing about him, when you look at his face, he reminds me of Peyton Manning,” another scout said. “You look into his eyes and see the determination. He’s a much better athlete than Manning. He can run, too. I estimated 4.7 (seconds in the 40). Peyton was more of a statue. The arm strength is about the same … and being resourceful and making excellent decisions. The composure, the confidence, the mental toughness. He’s special.”
It’s a pretty heady comparison, to be sure. But let’s not forget that others who are well respected in football circles have compared Burrow to none other than the NFL’s GOAT, Tom Brady.

bullshite, that’s an insult!
His college career performance was unparalleled by any Manning, and anyone else for that matter.

Peyton is a hall of Famer in the NFL and was a damn good college qb no shame in comparing JB to him. Just glad JB doesn't have the happy feet Peyton used to get.

When was the last time a college QB was getting comparisons to Brady and Manning? Hell, even one of them?

I don't see it. Burrow is much more mobile and is a threat to take off and can hurt you if he runs. Peyton Manning is literally a frickin statue back there in the pocket. Burrow also can extend plays better than Peyton can and is dead on balls accurate when he throws on the run and under pressure. I seriously dont know what the hell some of these "scouts" are looking at and thinking with some of their comparisons.
The most obvious way that burrow compares to Peyton is his knowledge of the game and his intelligence. Both of them can read a defense like no other and know where they're going most of the time before the ball is even snapped. They also both know when to audible and what to change the play into. That's where I agree that Peyton and Burrow are alike.

Has his time ever been published? Just eyeballing his runs he looks pretty fast and quick.

Peyton was not a gifted runner, but they are very similar in their pocket presence and feet movement in the pocket to get that little extra time to make a play.

Burrow has what Peyton never got -the college national championship and I believe the Heisman

You are correct, sir. Manning was second in the Heisman voting to Woodson his senior year, and Tennessee won the national championship with Tee Martin after Manning left.

Never again will you see a Joe Burrow in Tiger Stadium home or visiting team . He was a Boss, made it look like he was playing high school coaches and players. Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees .

I like the comparison to Joe Montana more than Payton Manning. LINK

The dude acknowledges that if you’d have read it. And I think it’s a good comparison, mentally. And neither have elite arm strength, but make it for it with pre-snap reads, anticipation, accuracy, and throwing a catchable ball. The only things that could keep Burrow from being special imo, are injuries and the Bengals. And I’m not sure he doesn’t change the Bengals’ culture by being there.

If the most talented scientists combined their collective abilities to genetically engineer a combination of Manning, Brady and Montana they would create Joe Burrow. Sprinkle in a little Chuck Norris and stir.
