I don’t know if this is still true but my Dad lived in Fairbanks for about 10 years and he used to say when the Spring time came they would find all kinds of bodies everywhere, or missing people. Above the Arctic Circle, it is basically dark all winter and everyone has to spend months basically indoors with other people. People would go “Cabin Crazy” kill their spouse etc. This was before the internet etc.

The Brits have delayed quarantine for these concerns and people getting tired of it and just ignoring it.

So how long before you go “cabin crazy”?

One month for me

No one is stopping you from going outside for a walk or a park to hang out and throw a frisbee around. No reason to get cabin fever.

It is true not that they murder each other all that much but went outside got lost or injured and died in the cold. If no one knew where you went they could die looking for you so you are kinda on your own.

I don't know about that, but in the mid-west after a long cold spell ends all the frozen dog turds start to stink when the temperature gets above freezing.

Well not necessarily a lie. They have found bodies from the homeless who live in tent cities outside of anchorage. I lived there for 2 years 04-05.

Maybe a couple, but the OP stretches things quite a bit. Most missing are never found.

I think most people in AK (outside of Anchorage) look forward to the winter. Snow and frozen lakes really open things up for people.

Very true. The frozen rivers and tundra give more transportation options and people are still fairly active.

Do you not leave your house at all? We go for walks, play tennis or basketball, go out on the boat, jog, etc. without coming within 10 - 20 ft of anyone outside our family. I truly don’t understand why people keep posting as if they are literally stuck indoors.
