Do you think it is possible that the 2020 College football season would be canceled or postponed? You have to figure to be ready for an August kickoff the fall camps start in July. That’s only 12-15 weeks away. Already offseason workouts have been put on hold, probably canceled permanently.

Too early to to tell

South Korea started seeing their numbers flatten about 2 weeks from where we are right now. Italy still hasn't flattened.

Not a chance. These thing have a 3 months cycle. It will be over by July 1st at the latest, probably June 1st. If they come up with a vaccine the cycle will not change but the number of people getting it will decrease. The vaccine will be given to the older people first and a few weeks after this all the rules will be history.

A senior member perspective- this will die as quickly as it it arose. The season goes on schedule. Lord, I hope so, cause I don’t have many left :-)

I sure in the hell hope so. If there is no football, I just might fall in a deep depression.

The season will go on as scheduled IMHO.

We will be a different country by late May / early June...

I'm a graduate of LSU Medical, New Orleans and work in infectious diseases. It's my thought we will be fighting this virus all summer. When we experience the death toll people will be too afraid to gather in stadiums, even with a decline in cases. Of all the things I hope for I hope the most that I am wrong about this one thing. But from where I sit this event looks to be on a par with the depression and the second world war

Vaccine will take 18 months or so before it's ready for widespread distribution. Will be interesting to see when we ramp up to the point of having 100,000 people in the same location. If people do a great job of social distancing now, right now, we can see the numbers flatten in Louisiana in a week or 2. Then maybe we can have a football season, but probably with family members and staff only as fans.

Until a vaccine is developed and mass produced, we are not going to be safe from Covid-19. That wont be until 2021.

I do expect us to get back to a more normal way of life in mid summer. But huge gatherings of people are gonna be frowned upon until we all get vaccinated.
