It would be in his best interest.

I mean, he's a 2nd round pick regardless probably so why not get a year of med school in if he can?

No it wouldn't. Wade believes he can earn some money. He has more credibility.

Would the NCAA extend eligibility just because of the missed NCAAT? Seems right now the focus on this issue is the spring sports

I think he would want to explore his options as a professional basketball player somewhere to see if it's a viable career option.

Idk what is best for him personally, and whatever it is I hope he does. However there is no doubt it would be a huge win for LSU if he comes back. As great as he was last year, he’s been that much better this season, it’s obvious he’s a student of the game of basketball and just keeps expanding/perfecting his game. No doubt would be the leading preseason candidate for SEC POY if he returns.

Not sure basketball is considered a spring sport

There is a lot of chatter that they may grant extra years for winter sports as well

Mays has reached his college ceiling. As much as I would like him back I don't think it benefits him enough to risk another season

If its strictly a mercenary decision you are correct. However , to some the opportunity to win a national championship is a great inducement. Each player makes their own decision as to what is more important. E

Mays aint making any money in the NBA. If he truly wants to be a doc he should come back for another year anyways IMO

Ten years ago - "Garret Temple will never sniff an NBA court. "

You never know.

My mind fairly boggles at the thought of somebody trying to play college ball while going to medical school. Especially when it's in another city.

Mid-2nd round buzz is no sure thing but ESPN and SI both had him in their recent top 60.

Yeah I’d think so. Can get a year of med school under his belt and he also isn’t gonna go the first 40 picks
